He jumped into the air high enough to level his rocket launcher off at the Flying alien in front of him.

He unleashed a deadly salvo of rockets felling the monstrocity in mid air and angering its bretherin. As he landed he slammed his fist into the ground, sending a shockwave that stunned the other 4 enemies.

Switching to speed mode he deftly weaved through them slicing them open with his knife before they could even react to his presence. Just as he had finished dispatching the fourth enemy, Alcatraz noticed the last of the flying Aliens approching him at breakneck speed.

He dodged to the right catching a glancing blow from the beast. Realsing he was out of ammo for his rocket launcher, he drew his assault rifle and while closing the distance on the disorientated creature he unleashed a wall of lead which tore into his enemy.

The Beast slain, Alcatraz turned his attention to his next task, now cloaked and invisible he approched the enemy's next position.”

Deftly moving while cloaked, he knew his next two victims stood no chance.

He almost felt guilty about what he was about to do, but looked forward to the satsifying feeling afterwards. "Almost like taking candy from a baby and eating it yourself" he thought while chuckled to himself.

"Which one first?" Alcatraz thought to himself. The Nanosuit was almost depleted and wasn't yet in striking range of to two enemies, he noticed someone, or rather, something, in the corner of his eye.

Trying to get behind cover while the suit's voice emitted the all to familiar "power low", he slided in behind a wall just in time to remain hidden, or so he thought. A ear-deafening shreak made him cover his his ears, while holding the assualt rifle in his hand, ready to retaliate.

"Motherf...", Alcatraz stood petrified when the Alien appeared, he hasn't seen this before. For a moment, he wasn't sure what to do next, when his "killer instinct" and training kicked in.

In the midst of the crises, with two enemies off to the right, four more in the distance to the left and no less than two hovering monstrosities looming in the air, Alcatraz quickly made his way to the two enemies to the right, the two enemies saw him coming, and starting opening fire on him with deadly alien weapons, Alcatraz then quickly set off in sprint, dodged a few enemy fire, drew his assault rifle and then went down sliding past them and prenetrating the two enemies with the bullets of his deadly assault rifle, finishing them.
The two hovering aliens in the air saw Alcatraz taking down two of their own and with anger, the two hovering aliens opened deadly rounds of fire on him. Alcatraz quickly witched on his shield, "one of the abilities of his Nano suit", and survived the deadly rounds of fire of the two hovering enemies. he then made his way up on a tall building next to him, when he got on to the roof of the building he went into sprint and leaping through the air and landed on one of the hovering enemy. Alcatraz took out a granade, smashed a whole on the enemy's back and dropped the granade in it and jumping high in the air off its back. As Alcatraz jumped off the hovering enemy's back, the granade went off and blew it into pieces of ash. He quickly then drew his powerful rocket launcher to take down the other hovering enemy in the air, while still in the air, he shot two homing rockets at it and blew it out the sky, killing it.

Now the power of the rocket launcher had pushed him further to the four and last enemy in that area. he quickly let go of the rocket launcher, came down from the sky and slammed his fist into the ground, setting off a powerful shockwave and only dismembering two of the enemy, killing them, and quickly went into stealth mode, the same time he hit the ground. Now with only two enemy left, Alcatraz in stealth mode, drew his sharp edged blade with his left hand, grabbed the one enemy from behind with his left arm around the enemy's neck. and quickly he drew his pistol with his right hand, and shot the other enemy through the head and slid the one enemy's throat he grabbed from behind, finishing off both of the last two enemies in that area.

Alcatraz stood in the middle of the spaces streets in New York then slowly turned around starring at the ruined city of New York, and slowly putting his pistol back into its holder as the stealth of his Nano suit slowly wears off. and the background goes dark.

He sized up the new threat immediately. This alien was larger than the kind he usually encountered. Its exo-skeleton armour was at least four feet taller than the others and the armour plating looked thicker. He could make no sense of its armaments but he was not foolish enough to think they would not mach the rest of it.
With no rounds for his RPG and his suit still needing more time to recharge Alcatraz knew he had to buy some time. With a rush of speed born of adrenaline rather than his suits power he drove through the window of the apartment building wall he was hiding behind. He needed to gain height and ran for the stairs. Behind him he felt the concussion of an explosion nearly knocking him from his feet but he managed to keep climbing just barely. When he reached the fourth floor he felt he had gone far enough.
Diving out of the fourth floor window Alcatraz thought ‘ I’m beginning to make a habbit of this’ as he landed on the alien. Just then his armour beeped signalling him that its energy reserves had recharged

and with his armor reserves fully recharged Alcatraz knew he wouldn't have anything more to fear as he ventured forth into the dark empty streets of New York City looking out for any signs of...

Alcatraz (a stupid name but anyway) He ran for his life knowing he was out of power for cloaking (thats what you get for buying FONGKONG batteries) with the barbarick alien still on his trail, when Alcatraz saw the ugly looking alien, he screamed like girl, so he ran into a nearby building, very beautiful building, thinking he escaped the good looking alien, but the alien knew where he was (dont leave bread crumbs) so with Alcatraz still in the building thinking what to do next (he only had a plan A not a B...sigh) then the buildings lights went out, then Alcatraz shouted with anger and rage 'aaaarg Eskom!' so Alcatraz had to take the stair with his power suit still empty he had to BUY some time BUT realised that he have no MONEY so he ran and ran and ran and climbed and climbed and climbed, THEN he stopped and said 'what the heck am i doing!?' then Alcatraz getting himself ready to jump through the window, 'OUCH! WHAT IS THIS, BULLETPROOF!?' then he tried the next wndow that says BREAKLBLE, he jumped through it, forgetting to check what floor he was on, (100th floor....idiot sigh) so as Alcatraz was falling and screaming at the same time......(20min past and still falling) Finally! he came down splat ontop of the alien that was still chasing Alcatraz (dont know what took that stupid alien so long to enter the building) guess what the alien was taking a leak outside, finally with the alien out of the way Alcatraz can now get some money at the ATM to buy some time....and DURACEL battries not FONKONG.....TO BE NEVER CONTINUED, COMING SOON TO MAYBE A VHS NEAR YOU :)

Alcatraz realised that he didn't have to rely on just his suit, discovering the wonders of ninjutsu and then crossing over to the dark side as enemies turn on each other and he watches in joy..

In a sudden flash of lucidity, it all became clear to him. There was no invasion, there were no aliens. This whole time he had been nothing more than an unwitting pawn in the endless but ultimately futile war between the elitism and idealism of cost-no-object PC development and the undeniable economic reality of market-broadening console game making. He realised he no longer needed to choose. Like Charlie Sheen, he could be bi-winning.

So, continuing from the above...

Alcatraz slowly came around... "Damn" he thought to himself, 'that was some hallucination".

Having no recollection of what had knocked him out, or why he had thoughts of Charlie Sheen floating around in his head, he managed a tired laugh before picking himself up off the floor and retrieving his SCAR and Nova pistol from the ground in front of him.

His Nanosuit power now restored to full, he activated his suit's strength mode and jumped up to the nearest vantage point, the top of a nearby downed VTOL gunship.

Activating stealth mode so as to remain unseen, he proceeded to scan the area with his suit's Nanovision, and seeing one of the hovering monstrosities now in the distance, he switched from his SCAR to his DSG-1 Sniper rifle and took aim...

...and decided that since he is one bad-ass mofo, he was going to take down this fugly creep in a fashion that would make his grandpappy proud. Moving up on the beast, all stealthy like, Alcatraz crooned "maximum strength" to himself and grabbed the unfortunate alien.

He then proceeded to headbutt his victim until until soft gobbets of shimmery gunk had coated most of the surrounding area. Giggling like a pre-pubecent girl, Alcatraz moon-walked away...

... as Alcatraz moon-walked away, his senses started to tingle like someone had lit a fire under his ass. He switched to stealth mode, turned around and saw a Red Hunter. It was a large four-legged alien whose breath was as bad as aunt Mildred's. This wasn't going to be easy. Alcatraz switched to maximum armour and swiftly pulled out the X-43 Microwave Induced Klystron Emitter that he had been saving for just such an occasion. As he pulled the trigger the pond scum exploded into a million bloody gibs.

As a small bloody chunk landed on him, he casually wiped it off his suit and activated stealth mode, blending into the scenery as if nothing had ever happened ...

Activates MAXIMUM STRENGTH, dashes forward face-grabbing two enemies to the right and shoves their heads into places which has never seen the light of day before...

MAXIMUM ARMOR is activated before taking heavy fire from enemies towards the distance left, catching the bullets mid-air repelled from suit Alcatraz eats them and spits them out at the four enemies like a .50 cal machine gun.

Alcatraz quickly enters invisibility mode and finds a mirror from a clothing store which he uses on the monstrosities looming above, after taking one look at themselves the monsters dies from seeing their own fuglyness...

... But in the distance, Alcatraz sees something... it had a human like figure. Alcatraz went into stealth mode in caution. As the figure got closer, Alcatraz saw that this was no human, it had a White Helmet on its head... ITS THE STIG!! Despite maximum armor, Alcatraz blows into a dust cloud as a result of the STIG's pure awesomeness!!

Confident with his strategy, Alcatraz engages cloak on his suit, moving slowly yet swiftly in the darkness, calming his movements and watching the enemy closely. He pulls out his TAC-Launcher, focusing on the two enemies on the right, he realizes that he cannot take out the one without the other alerting the rest. He aims his launcher above the enemies to a near broken skyscrappers foundation, thinking through his strategy thinking about what can and what cannot happen, nervously, his mind clears of thought and he pulls the trigger.

The building collapses detroying everythings in, near and under it. He is no longer hidden but he now has 2 less enemies to worry about. With no hesitation he sprints through the collapsed reckage, being pursued by his enemies, he activates Maximum speed. He knows he cannot keep it up forever and without any thought, he jumps up to a ledge and smashes the window above him, he begins to lift himself although he struggles. He hears enemies coming and quickly activates Maximum Strength on his Nanosuit and lifts himself into the deserted building. He tries to search for a safe exit, he notices a doorway which leads to the outside, he uses his opportunity and activates Maximum Speed, he sprints to the doorway. While rushing, a group of enemies infiltrates the building searching carefully for Alcatraz. He activates Cloak Mode on his suit and begins to slowly walk backwards to the staircase to escape. He sprints upstairs, his suit energy draining rapidly, he hides around the corner in the upper level in cloak mode with his energy levels being critical. He hears footsteps, nervously, he grips his rifle tightly, preparing himself for the worst. He finally sees the enemy although the enemy cannot see him.

The enemy begins to walk in Alcatraz' direction to inspect the area, Alcatraz steps slowly away from him, tip-toeing to make as little noise as possible. Alcatraz is going unnoticed and is remaining stealthy although he makes a mistake, he knocks over a stone column, it smashes to the floor breaking into tiny pieces. Alcatraz knows he is in grave danger now, the enemy stares dead into his eyes. Alcatraz activates Maximum Speed on his suit sprintint towards the enemy, as he begins to collide with his enemy, he activates Maximum Stength smashing the enemy through the giant glass window. Alcatraz places his rifle to the head of the enemy and without any hesitation, he unloads a full magazine into the enemies head. Descending at extreme speeds, they hit the ground causing a massive shake. Alactraz rises from the rubble, throwing the corpse of whatever he had been trying to escape from to the ground, he runs, as far away as he can because he knows, the once beautiful city he had known had no longer existed but is now in a state of ruin and destruction...

After running in a daze for a few minutes, he finds himself in unfamiliar surroundings... he's 50 miles away from NY City in Philadelphia!

The Super Speed and Super Jump capabilities cannot be taken lightly... As he slows to a stop he shocks local residents with his sudden appearance and the sonic boom that accompanies it. But a more pressing concern is the loud rumble of his stomach, he is ravenously hungry after a couple of hours of non-stop action.

Alcatraz looks around for a place to eat, he spots an italian restaurant and thinks that carbo loading would be a good idea. It's not just his suit that needs power. As he walks in to the restaurant, he remembers... he left his wallet in his other suit!!! Damn! What now? Then his tactical training kicked in, he could use his INVISIBILITY!

Walking past the bemused customers in the restaurant, he heads for the mens room and quickly activates his invisibility. Then heads for the kitchen where chef had just finished preparing a plate of veal capricciosa. While the chef's back is turned, he commandeers the plate of food in the interests of national security and quietly stalks out the back.

After loading up with carbs, he feels like a new man. With this renewed energy, he feels new hope dawning within him... Like this fight is not yet over... Activating his Super Speed he heads back to NYC, Super Jumping a 6 lane highway, and Super Sliding across a lake. NYC... Alcatraz is back to carry on with the fight.

... so Alcatraz stomped out his nano-cigarette and hauled off to his nearest Steers outlet for a Wacky Wednesday and a KFC Crusher...

When will the winnder be announced?

Hi guys, thanks to everyone for entering! We'll be announcing the winner tomorrow morning so stay tuned and keep those fingers crossed!

It's probably just sour grapes on my part, but I'm sure the whole idea of the competition was to continue the story from each other's comments?

It says "You are allowed to contribute a single new addition to the story, which will go towards a random draw for the prize." ...

If I understood that incorrectly, apologies for this rant. But if I did read correctly, I'm pretty miffed that someone who didn't read the instructions properly actually won the prize, I mean that isn't really fair on the entries that *did* read the instructions properly and actually submitted comments as requested.

Sorry that you feel unfairly done by with the draw. Everybody put a lot of effort into their entries and we drew the winner randomly, as we said we would. Each entry that added something new to the story was added to the lucky draw pot and the winner was chosen from there.
