Win a ticket to the pre-launch of Nintendo 3DS in South Africa! (Closed) - (Closed)
Thanks for entering everybody - this competition is now closed!
Congratulations to David Greenway and Nicholas Telford for winning the tickets!
Thanks again go to Core Gaming for providing the tickets!
Nintendo’s next handheld console, the 3DS, is ready for launch in South Africa on March 25th, and to celebrate the impending release of what the industry is calling ‘a revolution in gaming and technology,’ El33tonline and Core Gaming are giving away two double tickets to the console’s pre-launch party in Johannesburg, South Africa!
The Nintendo 3DS is a wonder of videogame technology, and after getting extended hands-on time with the device at gamescom 2010 we came away extremely impressed with its incredible graphics capabilities, glasses-free stereoscopic 3D visuals (and the option to turn 3D up or down), the hardware design and the analogue nub, as well as the tilt and accelerometer features - playing Pilotwings Resort was awesome with this functionality!
Not only that, but Nintendo has already announced a solid line-up of launch titles, and in South Africa we’ll be treated to no less than nine different games on day-one of availability, with another wave of titles scheduled to hit shortly thereafter.
To get ready for all of this, Core Gaming (the official distributors of Nintendo in South Africa) is holding a pre-launch party to mark the release of the 3DS, and to stand a chance of winning one of two double tickets to the event all you need to do is tell us:
What, in your mind, is the best feature of the Nintendo 3DS (in 20 words or less).
Leave your answer in the comments section below (one answer per person, please), and we’ll then randomly draw two winners out of those comments that correctly name a feature of the 3DS (remember, it doesn’t make make coffee…)
Then…
To double your chances of winning one of the double tickets, you can follow El33tonline on Twitter and tweet the following (simply click below and hit ‘Tweet’):
I want to go to South Africa’s Nintendo 3DS launch!
We’ll then add those entries to the random draw too! Easy? Yes.
The South African pre-launch party for the Nintendo 3DS will take place on March 3rd, so this competition to win one of two double tickets to the event will close on March 1st! Get stuck into that comments section! And Twitter!
If you win one of these double tickets, you’ll be very glad that you did. Just saying.
(Please note that this competition is for residents of Johannesburg, South Africa that are able to get to the Nintendo 3DS launch event on March 3rd. We are unfortunately unable to provide travel arrangements.)

The best feature is augmented reality. This combined with the 3D effect opens up limitless possibilities for new gaming concepts.
Let's hope the devs take full advantage of this tool.
No 3D glasses needed for the 3D effect.
The Augmented Reality feature is amazing because it brings our favourite virtual characters into our world, a gamer's dream.
Streetpass allows 3DS users to battle each other when crossing paths, even when the device is in standby mode.
Augmented Reality combined with full 3D will make the games more real than ever before.
Its called the 3DS - 3D is the best feature

Would like to withdrawl myself from this contest as plans have changed and I will nto be In Johannesburg during 3rd March. I would not want to deny anyone the opotunity of going, so I am rectifying this problem now by withdrawing. Thank you for the oppotunity though.
The 3D without glasses is the best. The ability to be able to use the old games as well.
"street pass" - Nintendo redefines multiplayer and social networking dynamics for handheld devices. It is the future of gaming after all.
Augmented reality rocks! no glasses, no strangeness, just awesomness!
