Note: This competition is now closed!
Congratulations to the winners!
- X-Men: Destiny winner on Xbox 360 - Dirko911
- X-Men: Destiny winner on PlayStation 3 - LAblak22
Thank-you to all those who sent in their answer and told us which starting character they would choose in X-Men: Destiny, and special thanks again to Megarom for providing us with the games!
With the release of X-Men: Destiny recently, the world received an action adventure game set in the storied universe of the genetically evolved superheroes, the X-Men, but instead of limiting you to a choice of one of these tights-wearing, superpower-wielding adventurers, this game allows you to choose from a cast of three new heroes.
In the story of X-Men: Destiny, each character is only just learning of their respective and dormant mutated genes that will allow them to go on to become some of the most potent fighters the world has ever seen, while telling a unique and evolving tale as players carve their own path through the weaving narrative with their actions and conversation choices.
As one of these characters, you’ll be able to collect the powers of a number of famous X-Men, too, continuing to add to your range of awesome abilities.
To give you a chance of introducing yourself to the colourful and far-reaching world of X-Men: Destiny, Megarom and El33tonline are giving away four copies of the game across PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (two per console), and if you’d like to stand in line to win one of the games, simply let us know:
“Which of the three starting characters in X-Men: Destiny will you choose first, and which famous X-Men ability will you try to collect?”
Need a few clues about the characters and included X-Men? Check out El33tonline’s preview of X-Men: Destiny over here. Leave your answer in the comments below and let us know your preferred platform - Xbox 360 or PS3! Easy!
This X-Men: Destiny competition will run until October 26th - special thanks go to Megarom for sponsoring the games!
Note: This competition is open to South African residents only.

Awesome comp! :)
Hmmm ... I think in my first playthrough I would definitely play Aimi, as I prefer speedier, more agile characters, and I think my core power would be the shadow abilities. In terms of the collectable powers, it would be a toss up between Nightcrawler, as I imagine his power set would compliment the shadow power set perfectly, or Jean Grey's because ... well ... telekinesis rocks! :D
I think I'd start of with Aimi Yoshida. She's fast, agile and the ability of teleportation from good old Nightcrawler would compliment her perfectly I think. That's who I'd pick and the special ability I'd go for.
For something completely different though, I'd also have a go at Grant Alexander for brute strength and fighting. Added to this I'd get Wolverine's special ability and have an all out tank!
PS3 please
I would start as Adrian Luca and the power I would want is Wolverines healing factor, if you cant die you cant lose.
(Xbox360)
i think il go for Adrian Luca, and go for the wolverine ability, was always my favorite character
Adrian Luca (the all-rounder), with Mystique's abilities should be a cool player to work with. There's too many to choose from. Thanks.
XBOX please
I'd first pick the powerhouse Grant Alexander for some good old enemy pummeling, and then try and grab Wolverine's healing factor as my added ability.
Hiding away in a corner while your health regenerates might not be glamorous, but it sure beats dying an early death any day! :)
(XBOX 360)
I would play with Adrian Luca, he looks so much like Cole McGrath, and kinda sounds like him too. I would build his powers around Iceman and Nigthcrawler (if that's possible). Freeze an enemy from a distance, teleport closer and smash 'em to pieces.
You can enter me into the XBOX360 and PS3 draw :D
Adrian Luca (the all-rounder) - ‘Shadow Matter’ (use dark energy for special abilities, like teleportation).
Dark energy is awesome. Being a good guy while being bad-ass at the same time. Makes me think of wolverine
Adrian Luca and yeah of course Wolverine ability healing is always a huge advantage in a game for me PS3 please
i'd choose Grant Alexander...in your face, fists that is. Being so close up surely to take more damage so healing would have to be power i would want.
Adrian Luca. I'd rather be the all-rounder and know I'll be able to handle any situation. Powers I would want? OMEGA RED's! Who wouldn't want t secrete Death Spores? FTW!

Forgot to add PS3.
Grant Alexander as my starter, and I'd gotta go with a healing factor.
BTW, PS3 please
Thanks for the entries so far guys! We're working on the ability to turn off comment notification on the site, sorry for the hassles, it should be fixed soon :)
Adrian Luca and then go after Mystique's power as you can turn into any other mutant you want and more. Xbox 360
Adrian Luca definitely, but I want something more Deadpool-esque so I'd probably hit Wolverine's healing factor. :)
Ooh, forgot to add: Xbox360.
Think I will go with the football kid, Grant. Then go for some healing power with Wolverine's regeneration ability
Think I will go with the football kid, Grant. Then go for some healing power with Wolverine Regeneration. XBOX please :)
I would choose Grant Alexander. As for the ability, it would be a toss up between Wolverine's regenerating health and Emma Frost's diamond skin. Xbox 360
Whoops ... forgot to put my preference. >.< Preferably 360, but PS3 is good to. :)
Adrian Luca and focus on Pyro Xbox360/PS3
Aimi Yoshida and nightcrawler
aimi yoshida and focus on the nightcrawler
Adrian Luca, Wolverine's regenerating health
Xbox 360
Grant Alexander with regeneating health from Wolverine - Going to be a TANK!!
Adrian Luca, and go for the wolverine ability,

Aimi Yoshida and Gene Grey (Xbox 360 or PS3)
Adrian Luca, Wolverines healing combined with Xaviers mind bending powers (yes, I'll use it for evil).
XBOX360 please :D

Grant Alexander and the healing ability. The world could do with some healing.
Xbox 360
Grant Alexander !! and healing Ability / wolferine
ps3
Adrian Luca is a good pick, there will be no sticky situation. Healing like Wolverine is the power i'd pick, bye bye pain killers.
Adrian Luca - and wolverines ability to heal.
Cos I get beat up a lot in most games. so it'll be helpful :)
XBOX
Aimi Yoshida - speed all the way baby!
And I'd go with nightcrawler's teleport .. cause what is more awesoem than the fight scene at the beginning of x-men 2?
Xbox please!

xbox360
