That way, we could live on a house-boat out on the Zambezi River till things calmed down enough to go back to civilization. Or calmed down enough to **recreate** civilization. 2099? Useless as far as end-of-the-world scenarios go. Unless that end-of-the-world scenario included zombies.

Hmmmm, well I would think that the Spidey 2099 would have seen the world end. So technically he should know exactly how to save us. He'd be able to tell us where the safe places are to hide, where the best places to sail the boat would be, AND be able to tell us about the hardships and enemies we'd be facing throughout this period. If the world was ending, I highly doubt one could be saved, because well, there wouldn't be a world any more, but should I need saving from an immediate threat like a collapsing bridge, then classic Spidey and his spider-sense would be the one I would want pulling my ass out of the fire - that said, I can only hope I would be able to stomach his never-ending line of puns as we swung to safety!

Well, I would have to chooose... The Amazing Spider-man. We all grew up with him and even though I've read a few of the 2099 comics, the character just seems like a political cash cow much like the new Ultimate Spider-Man. Classics, man. The classics. PS3.

Amazing Spiderman, The fact that I have every Amazing Spiderman issue published for the last 48 Years (and Amazing Fantasy 15) should be self explatory why I choose him over any Hero to be saved by. Spidey has always been my fav hero.

The Amazing SpiderMan, no doubt about that. For years Spidey has been my favourite superhero that Marvel has on offer, and for years to come that's not gonna change.

So, why good 'ol fashioned Spidey? Well, we all know he's the web slinging, spidey sense tingling, wall crawling, joke cracking, friendly neighbourhood spider that all of us have grown up with. But he's more than that. He's the embodiment of character in a universe where heroes blow things up by looking at them, or tear things apart by screaming too loud. He's lost loved ones, but used that pain to overcome his adversities. He’s not some tycoon with money to spend on tech savvy suits, and doesn’t belong to a team that has seemingly never ending funding to finance all their missions. No, he’s just your average (in a genius kinda way) guy, from an average street, who went to an average school...who happened to get bitten by a radioactive spider, and now has the proportionate strength of a spider, can climb walls, senses danger, and web slings to clear his head (in between being a hero)
Spidey’s always been my favourite character...oh, and I’d choose him to save the world cos Spiderman 2099 has still got a long way to go when, it comes to being amazing :P

as awesome and amazing as original amazing spiderman is, i have to throw my lot in with spiderman 2099, what he lacks in spidey sense he makes up with in night vision, super zoom genious intelligence and latino awesomeness! im no mary jane, but if there were a hero to save us (like chad kruger sings) im calling mr 2099!
