My DS has been my trusty companion on a few trips between Durban and Cape Town by car, and although it’s got good battery life it can’t survive the 18 hour journey without charging. This is the most obvious scenario where the iMP DS Lite car charger can help – charging your DS Lite as you play or between games.
Like a cell phone charger, you never know when you’re going to need it, so keeping the car charger in your car means you have a backup charger available for when you forget your wall unit at home, or for when you want to play Advance Wars from Durban to Cape Town. A great choice if you want to take you DS along on a road trip, or as a backup in case you forget your wall charger. The iMP Nintendo DS Lite Car Charger is available for R99 from Take2, Kalahari.net and Incredible Connection. Thanks to MobileG for the cool review sample.

The charger plugs into your car’s cigarette lighter (does anyone use it for that any more?), converts the power of that socket to the correct charge for the DS and plugs into your DS Lite (note that it won’t work with the old DS model). This conversion means that the charger is a little more bulky than what would be ideal.
