The 5-in-1 Fitness Bundle is perfect for you if you are a fan of Wii Fit, kind of like an ultimate kit to enhance your workout. As the name suggests, it includes five products: Jeli Sleeve, Fitness Mat, Travel Bag, Rechargeable Battery Pack and 1 pair of textured foot socks. If you own Wii Fit then this is the perfect pack of accessories to start your Balance Board gaming off on the right foot. Think of it as a kind of all-in-one starter kit, and it even matches the colour scheme of Wii Fit with everything in green and white! First up the bundle includes a Travel Bag, perfect for transporting your Balance Board to your friend’s house for an afternoon exercise session, but just as handy to simply store your board in a cupboard. Made of durable nylon, the bag is sturdy and guaranteed to keep your board safe and clean. The green and grey bag has a zip that runs along not only the top of the bag, but down the left and right hand sides too. This makes it really easy to slip the board in and zip it up. It is also possible to store the board in the bag with the Jeli Sleeve still on the board. The bag has a handle at the top that seals with Velcro, making it easy and convenient to carry and to pull out of a cupboard. ![]() ![]() The kit also includes a pair of textured foot socks. The socks are white with green stripes and conveniently one size fits all. I am a size six and they fitted well and were very comfortable. I really put them to the test by giving them over to Wayne’s size 12 feet – the result, a perfect fit but maybe a bit more stretched for me now! The socks are rubberised to prevent you from slipping and have breathing holes on top which will come in handy to help keep foot odours at bay.
Unroll the mat, place it flat on the ground and start your workout. If you use the socks with the mat you will have even more traction and you won’t slip. The mat is light green with rounded edges and the words ‘Fitness Mat’ and ‘dreamGEAR’ on it. It is roughly 1.8 metres long so even a tall gamer can do stretches and the like without going off the mat. It is pretty easy to roll-up and store and can also be used for any other exercises routines that you may be interested in such as pilates or taibo. ![]() ![]() We have already taken a close look at the Rechargeable Battery Pack and Jeli Sleeve in our previous reviews. To take a brief look, the Jeli Sleeve slips over the Balance Board, keeping it clean and protecting it from scratches. The sleeve increases your balance and also helps to prevent you from slipping. It is soft and comfortable to stand on but unlike the other sleeve reviewed it doesn’t have any rubberised knobs because the socks are rubberised. The Rechargeable Battery Pack is a great solution to high battery costs. The pack fits directly into the Balance Board’s battery compartment, replacing the four batteries with just one pack. Plug the USB cable, which is included with the pack, into the USB slot on the back of your Wii and you are good to go! You can charge the pack while the Wii is on or in standby mode. You can also charge it using any device that has a powered USB port. The USB cable is 3 metres long so you can quite easily charge the pack while you are using the board.
The dreamGEAR range is available at various retail outlets including Budget Tech, Incredible Connection, Look ‘n Listen, Pick ‘n Pay, Dion Wired, Kalahari, E-Dream, Digital Planet and CNA. Thanks to TCM Warehouse for this review sample!

You can also look forward to a cool Fitness Mat in the bundle. If you have played Wii Fit before you will know that you don’t always remain on the Balance Board with both feet, sometimes you are required to place one foot behind or in front of you for certain muscle or yoga workouts. My experience has shown that whether you are on a tiled or carpeted surface, your foot is likely to slip and you will end up not doing the exercises as effectively as you could have. The Fitness Mat is the perfect solution to this problem – it is soft to the touch and increases your traction dramatically.

If you enjoy using the Wii Balance Board this bundle is a great investment. At first glance it may seem a bit pricey (R949 including VAT) but if you take into account that you are getting a Rechargeable Battery Pack, Fitness Mat, Travel Bag, Jeli Sleeve and socks, you will realise that if you buy this bundle you will be set for a long time and you are guaranteed to have more fun gaming too! You will also notice that if you had to buy all of these products separately it would be more expensive than the price of this bundle.
