This week’s Xbox LIVE Deal of the Week has been revealed to be none other than Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex, an Xbox Original game that usually goes for 1200 MS Points:
“By harnessing the destructive power of the Four Elements, Dr. Neo Cortex creates Crunch, a Super-Bandicoot with one mission…demolish all that lies before him. Will Crash and Coco be up to the challenge? You can bet your bandicoot they will!”
If you’re an Xbox LIVE Gold member, though, you can pick up (i.e. buy and download) Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex for a mere 800 MS Points, saving you 33% off of the original price.
Well? Get to it!
Announced during Major Nelson’s most recent podcast, the original Fable, released as an Xbox Original, will be available this week at a reduced price through Xbox LIVE Marketplace as this week’s Xbox LIVE Deal of the Week.
Fable 1 will be available to Xbox LIVE Gold members for the lowered price of 800 MS Points, down from the 1200 MS Points price point for which it was previously available.
So if you’ve got the points, and if you’ve never experienced Lionhead’s slightly altered take on the RPG genre, you should definitely give the original Fable a go.
Just a single, solitary game update on the Xbox LIVE Arcade (XBLA) service this week - but it’s a really good game!
Portal: Still Alive, for a meagre 1200 Microsoft Points, is available for your first-person puzzling pleasure. As they are keen to remind us, the original Portal was the winner of over 30 Game of the Year awards, and this new version comes complete with 14 new bonus maps, developer commentary and, obviously, the whole original game that set the gaming community on fire last year.
Also a reminder that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is currently available as an Xbox Original, as well as the availability of a demo for Scene It? Box Office Smash! and a bunch of new Nirvana tracks for Rock Band, all available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace now.
