The Gunstringer is definitely one of the most interesting and entertaining games I’ve ever played on Xbox 360. Filled with wacky humour and boasting an attractive, cartoony visual style, it’s a game which is all about having fun in front of your Kinect.
Just yesterday Ubisoft announced that we could expect a demo for Splinter Cell: Conviction sometime in the future. The publisher has since confirmed that the demo will be available a lot sooner than any of us had expected, this Thursday the 18th of March exclusively on Xbox Live Marketplace.
As promised by Black Bean Games and developer Milestone last week, a demo for their upcoming racer, Superstars V8: The Next Challenge, is now available to download on Xbox Live Marketplace.
For now the demo is not available in North America and Japan, but gamers from the rest of the world can download the demo to race top V8 production class cars of the official Superstars Championship with up to 16 players in online multiplayer action.
Just in case you feel like decking your Xbox Live Avatar out in the latest seasonal wardrobe, Microsoft has released a number of holiday themed items.
Microsoft has released a list of the next batch of Games on Demand titles to become available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace over the next few weeks, and surprisingly (or not), a few titles that are hardly a year old, such as Grand Theft Auto IV, Dead Space and Army of Two, will be available on the service later this month.
Dates and titles of upcoming Games on Demand additions follow below:
Crash Course, the brand new downloadable content (DLC) for Left 4 Dead, Valve’s zombie-infused cooperative first person shooter, is now available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, but beware of the price.
When the DLC was first put up on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, it was priced at 800 MS Points, which was incorrect – the only price you should be paying for Crash Course on the service is 560 MS Points.
A 979.43 MB demo for EA’s Fifa 10 has recently appeared on Xbox LIVE in Europe, in which you get to play as fan-favourite clubs Chelsea, Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Marseille and Chicago Fire.
Additionally, you’ll be able to upload your own in-game videos to EA Sports Football World, as well as get your hands on Game Face to re-create your own mug in-game.
A PlayStation Network demo is also expected to release later today, while football/soccer fans in North America will have to wait until September 17th to sample the goods.
The full game is out on October 2nd in Europe and October 20th in North America. While you’re waiting, read about the host of new features heading to Fifa 10’s online services over here.
EA has just reminded everybody about their Fifa 10 demo releasing tomorrow (September 10th) on the PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE and PC (in European territories only), as well mentioning a bunch of updates and newly added features to their catalogue of online services related to the game
A North American demo will appear online on September 17th.
What’s included in the demo, and what extra features have been announced, you ask? Head on down below to find out:
Microsoft has, for the minute, foregone the usual piecemeal (what a great word) method of revealing Xbox LIVE content and has released a full-ish schedule for upcoming content on their online service, including forthcoming Games on Demand games, Deals of the Week, and Avatar downloadable content (DLC).
Note that there are no announced prices as yet, so we’ll still have to wait for that piecemeal (man, great word!) method of information distribution to get the full details.
Check ‘em out below:
Major Nelson has announced that a collection of songs from the featured performers at this year’s Penny Arcade Expo (PAX 2009) have been unleashed on Rock Band, now available to buy and download for very minimal MS Points fees on Xbox LIVE.
Songs featured in the packs (and available individually) are from indie darlings Freezepop, MC Frontalot, Paul and Storm, and Jonathan Coulton. Check out the full list and pricing structures below:
Two new games have appeared on Xbox LIVE’s Games on Demand service, namely the excellent first-person action adventure game, Bioshock, as well as the military strategy/nation building game, Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution.
What experiences await us?
This week’s Xbox LIVE ‘Deal of the Week’ has been announced to be none other than the (apparently) addictive Puzzle Quest, a Match-3 puzzler imbued with role-playing game elements (also known as ‘Bejeweled with mana’).
Xbox LIVE Gold members are now able to buy Puzzle Quest for a surprisingly low 400 MS Points (as opposed to the usual 800 MS Points).
Hurry if you want it, though – this deal only lasts until next Monday!
Two new games have appeared on the Xbox 360’s Games on Demand service this week, with the addition of the tactical shooter Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, as well as the action stealth game Splinter Cell: Double Agent.
Unfortunately, and as usual, you’ll have to check for your own regional pricing for each game. You can do that over here (for GRAW) and over here (for Double Agent).
If you need some reminding about these two classic titles, look no further than down below where you’ll find a classic trailer for both GRAW and Double Agent, as well as a brief description of each:
EA recently announced that the announced downloadable content (DLC) for their boxing sim, Fight Night Round 4, has been released and is now available to buy and download from both Xbox LIVE Marketplace and the PlayStation Store.
A demo for WET, a third-person action game starring female protagonist Rubi Malone (voice by Eliza Dushku), has been released on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, but is currently only available for Xbox LIVE Gold members.
The main feature of the game is its acrobatic nature, allowing players to slide along the floor, jump over obstacles, and dual-wield handguns while packing a samurai sword, all while slowing down time to help with precision and add cinematic flair to proceedings.
Watch El33tonline’s previous coverage of WET to see what it’s all about, in video and screenshot form.
