Bungie has just released a video documentary detailing aspects of the developer’s sure-to-be industry-destroying first-person shooter, Halo: Reach.
Entitled ‘Once More Unto the Breach,’ the documentary sees various developers from Bungie working on Halo: Reach discussing the evolution of the Halo series, from the humble beginnings of Halo: Combat Evolved, all the way to the jaw-dropping work currently being done on Reach.
The documentary’s got in-game footage from Halo: Reach spliced in here and there, giving wonderful glimpses and extended sneak peeks at the enormously detailed environments and characters in the game, which you certainly don’t want to miss:
Developers Lionhead have today treated us to a clutch of fresh new screenshots from the studio’s upcoming RPG epic, Fable III, all of which show some stunning overall detail and dramatic graphics technologies that really add to the scenes.
Also releasing today is the very first developer diary for Fable III, which not only features some of the developers speaking about the game’s development process, but also allows you to bear witness to some of the first extremely impressive in-game footage.

Microsoft is blazing a trail at this year’s X10 event. First the publisher revealed that Alan Wake would be available across the US on the 18th of May and in Europe on the 21st of May. Then they announced the details of a Limited Collector’s Edition for the psychological thriller.
And now they have released a batch of new screenshots for the game, mostly scary looking ones of course, which you can enjoy below:
During Microsoft’s X10 event, Valve was on-hand to show off new downloadable content (DLC) for their cooperative zombie shooter, Left 4 Dead 2, while also announcing that new DLC will soon become available for their original Left 4 Dead title.
A new trailer has been released for August/September‘s zombie action game, Dead Rising 2, as protagonist Chuck Greene pulls out every MacGyver skill he possesses to patch together some amazing home-made weaponry that would definitely not be found in any PG-rated television series from the 80s.

In the lead up to Microsoft’s Xbox 360 X10 event (where Fable III’s release window was announced), industry legend Peter Molyneux made a statement that, not unlike other comments he has made in the past, caused a bit of a stir.
The statement in question involved a design direction that Molyneux and the team behind Fable III had worked in – a direction that he is convinced will upset the fans, even going as far as to say:
“I’m really scared that when I go out and tell people what it is, they’re going to be super pissed off. They really are. But it’s the right thing to do, man. I’m sure it’s the right thing to do.”
During a demo at the current X10 event, Molyneux was asked what this new design direction present in Fable III is, at which point Molyneux swung around to the demonstration monitor and exclaimed:
[Update] Crackdown 2 was recently slapped with a release window of June this year. Will wonders never cease? [End of Update]
More delicious media has been released from Microsoft’s X10 event in San Francisco today, and wouldn’t you know it, it’s a batch of screenshots from the upcoming open-world crime-fighting action game Crackdown 2, escorted by the visage of the game’s official box art.
The nine screenshots show off a variety of action shots as helicopters and turret-equipped buggies are put to the test in the air and streets of the city, while a large image of Crackdown 2’s box art follows below:
New details on the upcoming Halo: Reach Multiplayer Beta (which was dated earlier today) have been released in handy fact sheet form, accompanied by the claim that that it is on track to be “the largest beta program of its kind on any console,” and is expected to see “millions of participants when it begins May 3.”

Delivered straight from Microsoft’s X10 show floor (where the Dead Rising 2 was officially dated, and the game’s prologue, Dead Rising: Case Zero was announced for Xbox LIVE), we find twelve new Dead Rising 2 screenshots, showing some intense scenes from the game that leave a lot to your imagination.

Geoff Keighley of Gametrailers fame has just spilled the beans and revealed the day that the mighty Halo Reach Multiplayer Beta will commence. According to a Twitter tweet by Keighley:
[Update] Alan Wake’s release date just got more specific, and has now been dated for May 18th in the US, and May 21st in Europe. [End of Update]
