WRC: FIA World Rally Championship 2 (or just plain WRC 2 to close friends and relatives) is the latest racing game from simulation experts Milestone, following on from the success of its celebrated SBK series of motorbike racing titles.

El33tonline and Ster Kinekor recently gave everyone a chance to win WRC 2 on both Xbox 360 and PS3, with some excellent goodies included in the mix, but the question is… who won the hampers?

As you read this Sebastian Loeb has probably won his eighth consecutive WRC championship. As in the real rally world, WRC: FIA World Rally Championship 2 is about to win its second title as ‘best dedicated rally game.’ I say dedicated as there are many other dirt racers out there that are probably better at various disciplines, including rallying. But none of them are dedicated to old school WRC rallying.

The latest realistic rally game from simulation experts Milestone was recently released to the twitching hands of racing fans in Europe and brings with it all of the official tracks, teams and drivers of FIA’s 2011 World Rally Championship season along with the developer’s attention to detail.

It never fails to amaze us how quickly the week goes - one day you’re posting about exciting new competitions and delivering great new reviews to the world on a videogame website, and then the next, you realise it’s nearing the end of Friday and there’s so much more left to do before the coming week.

Black Bean Games and Milestone recently confirmed that the official game of the 2011 FIA World Rally Championship, WRC 2, will see a release in October this year across Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms, and to celebrate, the publisher and developer have together released a teaser trailer for the game.
