This week’s Xbox LIVE Deal (of the week) offer contains a nice selection of different Xbox LIVE Arcade titles (and an add-on pack) that you may have heard of, and others you may not know about.
The titles of these games include letters thrown together to form words such as ‘Raskulls,’ ‘Keflings’ and ‘Worms.’ I don’t know about you, but I haven’t a clue what a ‘Raskulls’ is, nor do I know what a ‘Keflings’ could be. I know for darn sure what a ‘Worms’ is, though.
After ‘Worms’ was invented, planet Earth was populated with (probably) billions of the little creatures in homage to Team 17’s excellent turn-based action strategy game, and you should feel honoured that one of the games in the series has been reduced in price so you may look upon it in reverence.

How weird… this edition of Xbox LIVE’s ‘Deal of the Week’ concerns itself with special price offers on a variety of games that just so happen to contain insects and other creepy crawlies.
Coincidence? I think not.

Worms fans rejoice because a new Battle Pack for Worms 2: Armageddon is now available on the PlayStation Network!
The Battle Pack is a new downloadable content pack from developers Team17 that delivers new weapons and utilities, a new single player campaign as well as tons of new customisation features, new trophies/awards and a new game mode.
It’s that time of the week again, time to get out those ol’ wallets and add more funds to your PlayStation account. That’s right folks, there’s a whole bunch of new delights to be found in the PlayStation Store!
Since it’s one of my all-time favourite series, let’s kick things off with Monkey Island Special Edition 2: Lechuck’s Revenge. What’s that you say? You haven’t played it yet? Well here’s the perfect opportunity to add something valuable to your gaming collection because Guybrush Threepwood’s (he’s a mighty Pirate by the way) latest adventure is on sale for just $4.99! There’s also a whole bunch of other cool titles on special such as Age of Booty and Megaman 9.
There are a generous amount of price reductions on a bunch of great Xbox LIVE Arcade games this week, including deals on Call of Duty Classic, Duke Nukem 3D and Battlefield 1943, as well as Worms 2: Armageddon, Serious Sam HD and Peggle.

Team17 Software are giving Worms fans the chance to design a fort and have it added into the Xbox 360 version of Worms 2: Armageddon.
In case you haven’t tried it yet, the Fort mode sees players battling it out on a landscape made up of two Forts located opposite one another. With players Worms placed on their chosen Fort, the last team standing wins!
Just when you thought the world was finally at peace again, someone had to go stockpile big weapons and impolitely point his finger. The wounds from war’s past have festered up again giving rise to one of the worlds most fiercely sought after asset since our planet was only seven days old…top soil?
Team17 have released a new wave of psychotic invertebrate reinforcements on to our consoles with the remake of Worms 2: Armageddon on Xbox Live Arcade. This version features all of the classic gameplay and weapons from the past, such as (my personal favourite) The Holy Hand Grenade, and a few new ones, like The Buffalo of Lies. Worms 2 also features a few new game modes like Rope Racing and Crazy Crates to up the ante a bit.

The latest word from developer Team 17 is that Worms 2: Armageddon will be arriving on Xbox Live Arcade next week Wednesday, the 1st of July. It will cost 800 Microsoft Points.
Based on the popular Worms Armageddon which was released in 1999, Worms 2: Armageddon will include new weapons (for example, the Electro Magnet, Bunker Buster and Buffalo of Lies) as well as cult favourites from Armageddon (such as the Super Sheep, Holy Hand Grenade and Napalm).
Team 17 has just released a new trailer for their upcoming XBLA title Worms 2: Armageddon.
Worms 2: Armageddon will be invading XBLA next month but stay tuned because the publisher promised to announce the exact release date and pricing shortly.
