While there wasn’t much need to actually confirm the existence of Conduit 2 after it was revealed in the latest issue of Nintendo Power, it’s nice of SEGA and High Voltage to let people who don’t have access to the magazine know that it is, indeed, currently in development.
So yes: SEGA and High Voltage Software, the publisher and developer team that brought us the original The Conduit first-person shooter on the Nintendo Wii, will join forces once more to bring us Conduit 2 (which will once again be a Wii-exclusive title) this Fall.
Capcom recently revealed a whole host of new information and details regarding the North American release of its upcoming Monster Hunter Tri, including the launch date, pre-order incentives, demo access and online multiplayer accessibility, all wrapped up in a batch of new screenshots
It’s been revealed that, while the upcoming Wii first-person shooter from High Voltage, The Conduit, won’t make use of Nintendo’s MotionPlus WiiMote add-on to increase accuracy of movement, it will use the Wii Speak peripheral, most probably for the game’s multiplayer component, to enable communication between players online.
To get an updated look at The Conduit, look no further than down the page for a newly released trailer:
The Conduit is set for release on the Wii a little later this year.
Nintendo have announced the pricing structure for an Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City and Wii Speak bundle, coming to the UK.
Known as Animal Crossing: City Folk in the US, Let’s Go to the City is the subtitle for Animal Crossing when it hits the Wii in the UK later this year (December 5th, apparently). Animal Crossing could be explained as a game where you’re basically on an endless holiday, where you can interact with anything and anyone, allowing you to go fishing, collect shells, dig a garden, go trick-or-treating on Halloween or catch fireflies. Previous iterations have also been lauded for their use of real-world holidays occurring in the game using the machine’s internal clock.
Wii Speak, on the other hand, is a device for the Wii that acts as a microphone and speaker, essentially allowing everybody in one room to listen and speak to other, online players, without the need for individual headsets.
A Wii Speak and Animal Crossing bundle has been announced for the UK, yours for £59.99 or, individually, you can get Wii Speak for £25 or Animal Crossing for £39.99. So much choice!
