Telltale Games is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Wallace & Gromit’s first animated short, A Grand Day Out, by giving fans the chance to download a free episode this week.
Gamers have until the 8th of November to download ‘Muzzled!’ for free. This popular episode sees the famous duo setting out to “thwart a phony philanthropist and visit a rollicking carnival, all in one!” Head over to the 20th Anniversary page to download Muzzled today.
All Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventure episodes will be available worldwide on Xbox Live Arcade next week Wednesday, the 4th of November. This will coincide with the 20th Anniversary of the release of Wallace & Gromit’s first animated short called A Grand Day Out. Each episode will be available for 800 Microsoft Points.
The four episodes (Fright of the Bumblebees, The Last Resort, Muzzled! And The Bogey Man) take the “unorthodox inventor and his canine companion through exciting interactive storylines - from a honey business plagued by giant bees, to a whodunit set at a beach resort in Wallace’s cellar, to a tale of triumph over an oily villain’s greedy deceit, and concluding with a hardly sub-par finale at the prestigious Prickly Thicket country club.”
Earlier in the week Microsoft announced that Sonic & Knuckles and the second episode of Wallace & Gromit would be available on Xbox Live Live today.
Now, however, the publisher has confirmed that Wallace & Gromit: The Last Resort will not be available today, but will be only released at a “future TDB date.” You will still be able to download Sonic & Knuckles today for 400 Microsoft Points.

Last week Telltale Games revealed a new episodic series based on the popular Wallace & Gromit franchise.
Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures will be based on the crazy inventor and his trust canine made famous by Aardman Animations. Players will be able to step into the shoes of both Wallace and Gromit, spending each episode exploring, piecing together contraptions and escaping trouble.
The game will combine the storytelling that the Wallace & Gromit series is known for with fun game play and Telltale’s unique TV-style format.
Telltale Games has released a cinematic teaser trailer to give a taste of what’s in store for us. The trailer is rendered with game assets because in-game is not ready to be shown yet. The Telltale Team also confirmed that they are using the same 3D engine that is used in all of their games, they are not using digitally recorded stop animation of clay.
Telltale Games has revealed Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures, an episodic series video game.
Telltale spilled a few of the beans to the Associated Press. The game will be based on Aardman Animations’ popular Wallace & Gromit stop motion clay animated film series. The series stars Wallace, a cheese-loving inventor voiced by Peter Sallis, and his trusty dog Gromit.
“We’re certainly going for the clay look with this,” Telltale Games CEO Dan Connors told The Associated Press. “Clay presents a challenge if you really get into the detail of it. For example, adding fingerprints in a medium where there aren’t any is one of the discussions of how far we should go with the game’s detail.”
