Creat Studios and TikGames will be releasing a free demo for Wakeboarding HD on to the PlayStation Network in North America and Europe today.
The demo will allow players to “discover what all the fuss is about by making high-flying jumps, performing insane tricks, and dodging pesky Great White Sharks before purchasing the full game.”
Note to videogame developers: when you’ve set an incredibly difficult challenge in your game (that veers dangerously close to violating what 3D Realms’ Scott Miller calls ‘The God Concept,’), and your players are failing time and again at said challenge, please don’t tell them that ‘they suck.’
Not only is it demoralising, and leads to increasing amounts of frustration, but it can also open your game up to vitriolic backlash. That’s not going to happen here, but that’s just a helpful hint, from me to you.
With that out of the way, let’s talk about TikGames and Creat Studios’ water sport-themed downloadable PlayStation 3 game, Wakeboarding HD.

Creat Studios and TikGames have teamed up yet again, this time to launch a Publisher Page on the PlayStation Network in North America.
The TikGames/Creat Studios page will feature their games, videos, themes and wallpapers. And with nine titles between them, the companies have released more PS3 games for the PSN than any other company so it’s well worth checking out.
The US PlayStation Store has a few new interesting pieces of content, headed up by this year’s Spring Fever celebration, with price discounts on Gravity Crash and Everyday Shooter this week, with more deals and discounts coming down the pipe in the coming weeks.
The Store also has some new downloadable games in the form of Wakeboarding HD and Section 8, and special offers on Blue Toad Murder Files, while a host of add-on content also makes an appearance as LittleBigPlanet gets a bunch of Sonic-themed costumes, MAG gets a free DLC pack, a new track pack shows up for DJ Hero.

The European PlayStation Store update looks like it’s going to be a little light on overall content this week, but with a few gems dotted here and there to save it from obscurity.
For example, there are a ton of new special price offers (on games such as 1942: Joint Strike and Exit), a new downloadable game called Wakeboarding HD, a new PSP downloadable game called Patchwork Heroes, the Dragon Age: Origins expansion pack, Awakening, and the long-awaited Lady Gaga Rock Band track pack.

Creat Studios and TikGames have teamed up yet again to bring another title (their sixth) to the PlayStation Network. Wakeboarding HD, an arcade style action platform game, will be available to download on the PS3 on the 18th of March in Europe and the 25th of March in North America for $14.99/€14.99.
The game, which was featured by Sony at last week’s Game Developer’s Conference, is said to feature “state-of-the-art water simulation” and includes split-screen local multiplayer. It includes 20 “high-speed, water-filled, arcade levels to maneuver through tracks, perform high-flying tricks, collect bonuses and avoid dangers from exploding mines to bloodthirsty sharks.”
