It’s difficult to know what to recommend in situations like this.
Should you avoid spoiling the full experience of a fantastic upcoming game to go into that experience fresh, not knowing what to expect? Or should you absorb every last bit of footage and read every last scrap of information to cement in your mind how fantastic that game is going to be?
THQ has just released a brand new screenshot for Darksiders II depicting a battle between new protagonist Death, and hero of the original Darksiders, War.
Brothers and Horseman of the Apocalypse they may be, but there’s no doubt that they’re locked in an epic scrap with one another - what could the reason be?
At the end of last week, THQ held a London press event to further reveal a collection of the publisher’s titles including Company of Heroes 2, Metro: Last Light and, of course, Darksiders II.
All of these titles are very exciting indeed, but one of the games’ characters would have stood out to attendees more than any other thanks to an outstanding bit of ‘mural’ art that was in the process of being created throughout the event.
Prepare for a severe case of dry mouth, because following the formal, official release of yesterday’s Darksiders II CG cinematic trailer, a segment of just as amazing gameplay footage has found its way onto the ‘net thanks to an epic preview by G4TV.
Watch below as creative manager on Darksiders II, Jeremy Greiner, walks us through a fantastic encounter with ‘The Guardian Boss,’ which Greiner says is “probably the biggest boss battle in the game.”

Following a disappointing release date slip for THQ and Vigil’s Darksiders II from June to August, gamers looking forward to this amazing action adventure game contented themselves with the game’s previously-released trailers and screenshots, as well as an additional, final ‘Behind the Mask’ feature video.
Vigil Games has offered one last in-depth peek behind the mask of Death, the all-new protagonist in the studio’s upcoming action adventure game, Darksiders II.
While it’s certainly a pity that the game was delayed into August this year, thanks to the delay of another awesome title, Darksiders II has become the undisputed number one most anticipated game of 2012 for at least a couple members of El33tonline.
Why would we choose to post up a trailer for Darksiders II that’s coated in German text, as opposed to something that’s more comprehensible for English readers?
It’s very unfortunate that we bring you news of a release date delay for THQ and Vigil’s Darksiders II, an action adventure game that members of El33tonline would have no problem placing in our top three (or at number one, even!) most anticipated games of 2012.
Following reports and speculation last night and this morning, publisher THQ has formally announced a change in direction for its upcoming action game, Warhammer 40K: Dark Millennium.

Many people praised the game’s combat and exploration mechanics and compared it favourably to The Legend of Zelda series. Fast forward to the present day and Darksiders II is only three months away from release. Exciting times!
Thanks to a European preview event based in a church in Amsterdam, and following on from today’s (jaw-dropping) CG trailer, we’ve managed to piece together some more amazing looks at Darksiders 2, THQ and Vigil’s next action adventure game set in the mythical, crushing world of The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

This is going to be one amazing adventure:
It seems whenever we talk about Darksiders II, we always have to mention how excited we are about THQ and Vigil’s upcoming action adventure game, but it really is true!
