Ben Creasey has announced on the European PlayStation Blog that the PlayStation music video service, Vidzone, has recently launched a new service called VidZone TV to offer “a different way to enjoy VidZone.”
Creasey writes in a blog post:
Ben Creasey, Head of Production at the PlayStation music video streaming service VidZone, posted on the European PlayStation Blog recently regarding news of the service’s expanded availability in other countries over and above the current list including Australia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain and the UK. From the post:
“You have all been screaming for these dates and we finally have everything finalized, it’s felt like a lifetime but the day is finally here… You have no interest in anything I have to say apart from these dates so I’ll shut up and get on with it.”
Not only did Creasey list the countries that will soon have access to VidZone, as well as the dates that citizens of those countries can expect to begin watching music videos through the PlayStation Network, he also listed a number of artists native to the expanded set of countries who will be featured on the service. Browse through both lists below:
Ben Creasey, head of production on the European PlayStation Network’s music video service, VidZone, recently posted on the PlayStation Blog regarding a brand new update to the service, which includes a fix for the constant advertisement spamming before and after viewing a music video, full support for widescreen displays, and much more.

Ben Creasey, head of production on the PlayStation music video streaming service Vidzone, has posted on the European PlayStation Blog about two new and exclusive music videos heading to European audiences tomorrow.
The videos in question are from the band Placebo’s latest album, Battle For The Sun. Here’s a quick explanation of each video from Creasey:
VidZone, a free European service on PlayStation Network that allows the streaming of music videos through your PS3 or PSP, has recently seen it’s 100 millionth music video view, which means 100 million music videos have been viewed through the service since its inception in June this year.
Additionally, a list of the top ten most popular videos on the service has been released, and given the recent passing of pop music legend Michael Jackson, it’s no surprise to see that his music videos dominate the list, with Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, Eminem and Dizzee Rascal/Armand Van Helden getting a look in as well.

The PlayStation Network’s very own music video service in Europe, VidZone, has managed to secure the world premiere showing of electronic music group The Prodigy’s latest music video, “Take Me to the Hospital.”
The video will premiere today in all VidZone territories (UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Australia) from 18:00PM BST / 19.00 CET.
Ben Creasey, head of production on VidZone, reminds us that we should “Get used to this type of announcement” as they have some great things lined up in the coming weeks.
Sony has announced that a video for Irish rock band U2’s ‘I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight’ will be premiered exclusively on VidZone on the PS3 in the UK. This video exclusive will be ahead of the single’s release on the 17th of August.
VidZone was launched earlier this year in June as a free service, exclusive to PS3 owners. After downloading VidZone from the PlayStation Store, PS3 owners can view music videos on demand by streaming them directly to their PS3 and on to their TV screen.
Ben Creasey, the… uh, ‘Music Video Emperor’ over at the PS3 music video service, VidZone, recently posted on the European PlayStation Blog to announce a new set of featured playlists to make your music video viewing a little bit easier, including ‘90’s,’ ‘Metal Anthems’ and ‘Hot New Videos.’
When the service updates a little later this afternoon, you’ll also have access to over 500 more music videos, although specific video listings will vary from country to country.
Thanks, Music Video Emperor!
Ben Creasy, Head of Production at PlayStation’s VidZone, has just let everybody know that the service is going live today… but what exactly is VidZone?
VidZone, according to Creasy’s post, is a new on-demand music video service for the PS3, and will be available as a free download from the PlayStation Store in the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Australia.
