I didn’t know what to expect when I played Unit 13 for the first time. I never got a chance to check out the demo and I’m not too familiar with developer Zipper Interactive’s previous third-person shooters. I was initially surprised that there was no story mode in Unit 13 – just a collection of objective-based missions. However once I got over this disappointment I discovered a game that has a lot to offer in terms of competitive and co-operative challenges, and one that is well suited for gaming on the go.

The PS Vita will have no shortage of quality launch titles when it releases in multiple territories (including South Africa) on February 22nd. However, there are also a number of stellar ‘launch window’ games to look forward to during the weeks following the PSV’s release.

One such game is Unit 13 - the latest third-person shooter by SOCOM developer Zipper Interactive. Unit 13 offers a variety of mission-based objectives with support for two-player co-op, as well as plenty of online connectivity features such as daily challenges.

Zipper Interactive has taken the wraps off Unit 13, a new shooter designed from the ground up for the PS Vita. The game, which is described as the “perfect portable shooter on the best portable gaming platform,” will be available around the time that the PS Vita launches - so March then.
