If you didn’t expect the PS Vita and its massive line-up of launch titles to dominate Chart Track’s UK Software Sales listing this week, then you are wrong because no less than two of the handheld’s games managed to occupy the first places in the chart this past week, sweeping previous chart-toppers clean out of the way.
UFC Undisputed 3 doesn’t care what your rank or title is. UFC Undisputed 3 doesn’t care where you’ve been or where you’re going. All UFC Undisputed 3 cares about is taking you down!
That’s exactly what UFC Undisputed 3 did this past week on Chart Track’s UK Software Sales listing and during its debut week on sale, the mixed martial arts game managed to fight its way straight to the top of the chart ahead of heavy hitters FIFA 12 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Fans of videogame-based mixed martial arts action in Europe, the UK and South Africa will have to wait until this Friday to get to grips with UFC Undisputed 3, but gamers in North America are now able to pick up a copy of the technical fighter on Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 to punch, kick, grapple and wrestle in the venerable Octagon!

We’ve heard a lot about the campaign and singleplayer features of THQ’s UFC Undisputed 3 these past few weeks and months, but we’ve heard next-to nothing about the mixed martial arts fighting game’s online features.
That’s all changed today as the publisher has flooded fans with details on UFC Undisputed 3’s content creation and community sharing functionality, improved online matchmaking capabilities, the return of Fight Camps, and more exciting features.
UFC Undisputed 3 may not even be out yet, but THQ is making sure that prospective mixed martial arts gamers will be well taken care of once the game launches this month by detailing a massive collection of free and paid post-release downloadable content.
A Season Pass programme for UFC Undisputed 3 has also been announced, netting purchasers selected content at a reduced price.
… The hope for THQ was that its development partners would be able to introduce truly useful and groundbreaking features in the 2012 edition of the series, while the publisher itself went about the important business of gathering fan feedback in order to improve and evolve different features of UFC Undisputed 3 to deliver the best game possible.
From what we’ve seen of UFC Undisputed 3 so far, changes have indeed been made, improvements have been massaged into the gameplay and those useful features are definitely present and accounted for.

Leading up to the release of UFC Undisputed 3 in mid-February this year, THQ has unleashed a batch of information and videos to pump up the excitement surrounding the publisher’s next crushing mixed martial arts fighter.
While at gamescom this year we managed to attend a UFC Undisputed 3 demonstration and get some hands-on time with the game to see what it’s all about. Of course, it’s all about UFC fighting, but… you know what I mean.
The big change in Undisputed 3 is the addition of an ‘amateur’ control scheme, devised to make the game more accessible, while the previous control scheme is now called ‘pro.’ Let me describe them both for those not familiar with the series.
