Hmm… it’s still a good update this week for the European PlayStation Store, but not quite up to the standard of previous additions to the service.
But don’t lose heart! We’ve got a Quantum Theory demo to look forward to! Also, a downloadable game called Top Gun! Also, downloadable content for Mafia II, Dragon Age: Origins and Transformers: War for Cyberton.
Let’s not forget about a bunch of great price reductions on some interesting games, and the usual assortment of themes, wallpapers and Avatars, and new songs for Singstar, Rock Band and Guitar Hero.

The weekly Tuesday update to the US PlayStation Store is the usual feast of content. New games on the store this week are Top Gun for PS3 at $14.99 and Ys Seven for PSP at $29.99, and the single price update is Monster Hunter Freedom Unite for PSP on sale at $14.99, down from $29.99.

Paramount Digital Entertainment will be bringing Top Gun to the PlayStation Network, PC and Mac this summer. This free-flying air combat shooter will be based on the popular film and see players stepping into the shoes of Maverick at the Top Gun Academy.
In addition to shooting down enemy fighter jets, defending and attacking bases and engaging in large-scale dogfight battles, you’ll be able to enjoy two single player and five multiplayer modes where up to 16 players can duke it out online, unlocking various planes along the way.
