Earlier this year Crystal Dynamics took the wraps off of ‘The Tomb Raider Trilogy,’ a compilation of past Tomb Raider games on one Blu-ray disc for PlayStation 3.
When the trilogy pack goes on sale later this month, you’ll be able to get your hands on remastered versions of Tomb Raider Legend and Tomb Raider Anniversary (i.e. high definition art assets used to improve the visuals), as well as Tomb Raider Underworld (which was previously release for PS3) – all in one collection!
To showcase the huge difference in visual fidelity between the original ‘Legend’ and ‘Anniversary’ games on PlayStation 2 compared to the remastered versions on PlayStation 3, Crystal Dynamics has released a few comparison images with both versions side-by-side:
Tomb Raider franchise stewards Crystal Dynamics recently announced the existence of The Tomb Raider Trilogy Pack, a collection of remastered Tomb Raider games that will become available exclusively for the PlayStation 3 at the end of March this year.
Comprising high-definition quality renditions of Tomb Raider Legend and Tomb Raider Anniversary, as well as the most recent Lara Croft adventure, Tomb Raider Underworld, The Tomb Raider Trilogy Pack will also include a specially-created PS3 theme, an official Lara Croft female Home avatar outfit, the Viking Thrall male Home avatar outfit, and a collection of high-definition ‘making of’ trailers featuring behind-the-scenes looks at development of games from the entire Tomb Raider series.
