The remastered collection of PlayStation 2 Sly Cooper games may have already released for the PlayStation 3 in the US, but in two week’s time PAL territories will also be able to have a go at the high definition, stereo 3D editions of Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, Sly 2: Band of Thieves, and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves
“Hey… hey kid. You wanna’ play this hot new ‘PlayBox 3’ game? It’s called ‘Sports Champions.’ You wanna’ be a champion, doncha’ kid? You wanna’ play sports games on your TV machine, right kid? Then this game’s for you kid!
“But wait a second kid. Before you go off and be a sports hero and everything, you’ll need these… for just $100 you can get the full ‘PlayStation Move’ kit! It’s a bargain kid! A bargain! You’ll need these, kid!”
And so it begins.
Sony recently revealed its new box art branding for all future PlayStation Move-enabled PS3 games, manifesting itself in a thin strip at the top of the box, as well as different types of additional stickers depending on the extent to which the game supports the motion controller.
One of the more interesting reveals to come out of E3 2010 was the announcement of a remastered, high definition re-release of Sucker Punch’s excellent series of Sly Cooper games, all packaged together in a single title called The Sly Collection for the PS3.
The Sly Collection, also featuring support for the PlayStation Move (for mini-games), the PS3’s stereoscopic 3D technology and Trophies, is set to release in November this year, and includes the games Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves.
