So what do you do if you are behind one of the highest selling (if not the highest selling) PC games of all time and you want to innovate but not lose your current fans? Simple: Add a second line of games to the series to give us more choice!
That is exactly what the Sims developers have done with the latest Sims game. It is not an expansion, yet it is pretty much the same game with a lot of tweaks. It’s that glorious time of the week once again when we can sit back, relax and get some more gaming time in. So apart from wishing you all a great weekend, here’s a sneak peek into what the El33tonline team is looking forward to playing this weekend:

EA hosted their gamescom 2010 press event today at the Palladium in Cologne, Germany. It was a well turned out event with journalists scrambling first for access and then for the best seat in the house. As it turned out you could have sat anywhere and still heard every pin drop given the gargantuan sound rig they had pushing out the audio.
EA has announced that a new Sims series, entitled The Sims Medieval, is currently in development at The Sims Studio, and is set for release on PC and Mac in the ‘Spring’ of 2011.
Taking players back into the Middle Ages, The Sims Medieval will include all-new features never-before-seen in a Sims game, while enabling players to create heroes, go on quests and build and control a kingdom:
“Creativity will soar as players tell stories like never before full of drama, romance, conflict, and comedy.”
Well, that’s what the press release says.
