The exclusive PS3 digital download release of The Punisher: No Mercy brings to the system a decidedly solid multiplayer first-person shooter set in Marvel Comic’s The Punisher universe, complete with characters and settings that Punisher fans may or may not be familiar with, and introducing one or two interesting features to the multiplayer arena shooter genre along the way.

The biggest news from both the US and European PlayStation Store updates this week is the release of The Punisher: No Mercy, a singleplayer and multiplayer ultra-violent first-person shooter set in Marvel’s iconic universe.
The usual assortment of new Rock Band, Guitar Hero: World Tour and game downloadable content (DLC), as well as game videos and PS3 themes, are included in the update.
The full list of content now available on both the European and US PlayStation Stores follows below:
Zen Studios has announced that its Marvel Comic-inspired first person shooter The Punisher: No Mercy is now available on the PlayStation Store in both North America and Europe for $9.99. This announcement comes despite earlier reports from the studio that the game would be delayed in Europe.
The publisher also announced that a free demo of the game will also be available to download on the PlayStation Network from today. The demo will allow players to “sample the fast-paced action of the Marvel Comics-inspired first-person shooter with two of the eight levels from the original version of the game.”
The Punisher: No Mercy, releasing exclusively on the PlayStation Network on July 2nd (this week, in the US) for $9.99, has been slightly scarce on the release of visual media to showcase the game, especially in-game video footage.
With the release of a new trailer for the Marvel Comic inspired singleplayer and online multiplayer shooter, however, we can now get a more accurate glimpse at what looks to be an ultra violent first-person shooter, which goes heavy on the ketchup.

ZEN Studios has announced today that their Marvel Comics’ Punisher-inspired first-person multiplayer shooter, The Punisher: No Mercy, will be arriving on the PlayStation Store at the beginning of July this year.
Managing director for ZEN Studios, Zsolt Kigyossy said: “Our team has been working long hours to deliver a first-person shooter experience that will live up to the Punisher name.
“With awesome characters, a customizable system, and fast-paced multiplayer action, No Mercy is breaking ground in the digital space. For comic and shooter fans alike, this is a must-have game for the summer.”
The PlayStation Network (PSN) exclusive first-person, area-based shooter, based on Marvel’s vigilante hero, The Punisher: No Mercy, is shaping up to be quite interesting, and to prove it, ZEN Studios have released a handful of screenshots to show some progress.
The developers have also announced that The Punisher: No Mercy will be releasing on PSN this spring. For more screenshots, you’re going to have to head on over to Marvel’s website for the goods.

ZEN Studios have announced that they have secured the licensing rights to The Punisher, one of Marvel’s more well known anti-heroes. With the license comes the game, and ZEN Studios are currently developing The Punisher: No Mercy.
This arena-based first-person shooter, coming exclusively to the PlayStation Network, is powered by Unreal Engine 3 technology, the engine running under the hood of, most notably, Gears of War and Bioshock. No Mercy will allow players to choose from an array of characters that have made appearances in The Punisher’s various media iterations, to battle out their differences in various arenas. A story mode is also promised, featuring artwork by Marvel artist, Mike Deodato. CEO of ZEN Studios, Zsolt Kigyossy, assures the fans:
“The ZEN developers are huge Marvel fans, and the Punisher is certainly one of our favorite characters. With No Mercy, we’re creating gameplay unlike anything else found on PSN. This includes unique features like character-specific taunts, many of which were pulled directly from the comics.” Can’t wait to taunt you.
