We’ve been scouring the plains of ‘The Internet’ for any new media or details on Naughty Dog’s next action adventure game, The Last of Us, but day after day, our searches have come up empty.
We were just about losing hope of hearing about the game any time soon and, just as we were about to call off the hunt, a new trailer for this incredibly enticing title was glimpsed in the distance…
Until God of War IV is announced, The Last of Us is the PlayStation 3’s biggest upcoming exclusive. Naughty Dog intends to reinvent the well-worn post-apocalyptic genre by crafting a compelling experience that features a rich, original story and inspired gameplay mechanics.

Naughty Dog’s new project was formally revealed to be The Last of Us during the Spike Video Game Awards last year, a game that looks every bit as cinematic and story-driven as the studio’s Uncharted series of action adventure titles.
This weekend, and thanks to the Spike Video Game Awards, we were all given glimpses at a host of exciting game announcements as well as new looks at upcoming titles with awesome trailers and screenshots.
These games are due for release over the next two years and some of them (such as The Last of Us from Naughty Dog) will probably end of being this console generation’s ‘last hurrah’ before we shift into the next round of gaming machines. Another edition of the Spike Video Game Awards has come and gone, but not without its fair share of excitement!
Not only were brand new, unknown games revealed in the form of ‘The Last of Us’ from Naughty Dog and ‘Fortnite’ from Epic Games, but we also got our first looks at titles like Command & Conquer: Generals 2, Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD, Amazing Spider-Man and Alan Wake: American Nightmare, not to mention new looks at other incredible games.
To top it all off, the ‘awards’ portion of the show didn’t disappoint, either, as worthy games all walked away with the recognition they deserve.
