There are plenty of CG movies released every year but very few of them cater primarily to an older audience. I try to watch the films which fall into this category (from Resident Evil: Degeneration to Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children) partly for their entertainment factor and partly because they offer a tantalising glimpse into the future of video game graphics.
If you enjoyed Tekken Tag Tournament back in the day, you’ll probably know that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is in development after a very, very long time. You’ll probably also know that it seems like it’s still going to a take a while to be released. Well, Namco Bandai has something coming soon that might just be able to slake your Tag thirst in the meantime: Tekken Hybrid.

The 3DS has been gaining a fair amount of momentum in the past few weeks following a global price cut and increasing support from developers. A bevy of well-known franchises are headed to 3DS this year including Metal Gear Solid, FIFA, Sonic and Rayman so it comes as no surprise that Namco Bandai are also climbing aboard by bringing the Tekken franchise to the system.
If you loved the CG sequences in games like Final Fantasy VIII, Resident Evil 2 and Tekken 5 then you’re bound to be impressed by the trailer for the upcoming CG film Tekken: Blood Vengeance.
Although the CG movie market is dominated by kid-friendly titles like Toy Story 3 and Megamind, every now and then a more action-orientated film reaches us from Japan. These are often based on game franchises and include titles such as Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and Resident Evil: Degeneration.
