EL33TONLINE: News tag archive: systemrequirements
If there was ever a bit of PC-centric Max Payne 3 news for all of you beige box gamers out there, this is it: Rockstar has announced the official system requirements for the developer’s jaw-dropping action game, while accompanying the technical data with a handful of screenshots that everyone can enjoy.

Lots of crazy-exciting news for those of us looking forward to Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has emerged recently and we’ve collected it all up here for you to digest.
Open wide, here comes the plane!
Releasing on February 7th in the US and February 10th in Europe and the UK, the fantastic action RPG Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning will act as the very first release resulting from the combined forces of 38 Studios, Big Huge Games and publishing partner EA - we saw it in person and it looks amazing!
Bethesda Softworks has recently announced the official system specifications for the developer’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim action RPG, listing both the minimum and recommended requirements for hardware necessary to run the beast of a game.
Is your system “up to snuff?”
Earlier this year, a reported list of system requirements made its way out into the wild to help prospective PC gamers know what kind of ‘rig’ they would need to play Battlefield 3, a game that looks to be an incredible visual tour de force capable of bringing any said ‘rig’ to its knees.
It seems as though that initially revealed list (released by GameStop) was a few decimals off for a couple different PC components – the official list of system requirements from EA (thanks to the recent Battlefield 3 beta date announcement) has exposed the need for a bit of a beefier gaming machine than previously thought.
Will your PC be able to handle the mighty visual tour de force, Battlefield 3?
Gearbox has just revealed the official PC system requirements for Duke Nukem Forever, and for those of you who spend most of your gaming time on the ol’ beige box, these specifications are probably well in hand.
With these requirement lists, Gearbox has also confirmed that you’ll need an internet connection for a one-time authentication via Steam, and you’ll also need to install a few bits of software (included with Duke Nukem Forever) to get started.
Here’s the list - can you handle it?
Bethesda Softworks has released the official PC system requirements for Brink, that mighty-looking first-person shooter from Splash Damage that hopes to deliver a revolution in the way you play by mixing fluid movement capabilities, opportunities for teamwork and a hybrid singleplayer/multiplayer experience together, all colliding in fresh new play spaces, customisation options and visceral gunplay.
In order to run all of this cool stuff, you’ll need a half-decent gaming PC, and with the release of the required system specifications you can find out if you’ll be able to play Brink at good clip when it releases on May 10th (in North America) and May 13th (everywhere else).
Have at it:
When The Witcher II: Assassins of Kings releases in May this year, will you be able to run the action RPG on your PC?
To help you find out ahead of game’s launch, developer CD Projekt RED has officially announced (as opposed to previous rumours) the PC system requirements that The Witcher II will demand of your beige/black/neon box, alongside the release of a batch of brand new (and impressive) screenshots taken from the title.
Here they all be:
This March, PC gamers will finally be able to see what all the hoopla is about as far as Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is concerned when the game releases on ‘The Big Beige Box’ (or ‘The Neon Flasher,’ as you like).
On March 18th in the UK and Europe, and March 17th in North America, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood will launch into retail for PC gamers, complete with additional pieces of downloadable content… and no digital rights management (as decried in Ubisoft’s previous efforts on the PC).
EA and Crytek have recently released an absolutely crushing singleplayer trailer for the pair’s upcoming Crysis 2, a first-person shooter of equal crushing ability… crush-a-bility… crushing ableness…
It’ll crush your eye-sockets, OK?!
The video showcases the power of the game’s Nanosuit, as the technology’s creator speaks over gameplay snippets of the protagonist running at incredible speed, going invisible, and using his strength to tear through enemies with ease.
Also, the minimum PC specifications for Crysis 2 have been announced, and you can catch all of this excitement (…) below:
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II hits store shelves throughout the course of next week, starting with an invasion of North American soil on October 26th, and culminating in a blitz across Europe and the UK on October 29th.
PC gamers will be keen to know that this new action adventure game set in the Star Wars universe isn’t limited to the reaches of console owners – you lot will also be able to take on the guise of Starkiller and go on a tour of destruction with incredible Force powers.
But first, you’ll need to meet the minimum system specifications to play the game on the old ‘rig.’ Do you have enough ‘DirectX’ to run Star Wars: The Force Unleashed ii when it releases next week? Find out below:
What’s this? Another piece of Medal of Honor news? Welp, let’s get on with it then.
EA has released two sets of system requirements for all of you PC gamers out there who wish to know whether or not you’ll be able to run Medal of Honor at a suitable clip on your ‘rig.’
If you’re dying to discover the answer to that question, or you’re merely slightly curious, you can find out if your fire-breathing monster of a computer will be able to handle EA’s next first-person shooter below:
BigDownload has managed to get a hold of the system requirements for the final retail version of StarCraft II from Blizzard, and as those of you who’ve already dipped into the game’s beta already know, this RTS isn’t particularly taxing on modern computer hardware.
Sure, you’ll be able to crank up the graphics settings and enjoy better special effects, but if you’re worried you won’t be able to play StarCraft II at all because your system is a couple years old, fear not!
The minimum system requirements are quite modest, and even the recommended requirements aren’t exactly hitting the upper limits of supercomputer-level behaviour.
Have a look through the final ‘minimum’ and ‘recommended’ system requirements for StarCraft II below:
All of you PC players who’ve been waiting for news of Assassin’s Creed II’s impending release on your monster of a gaming platform of choice can ease back in your chair, as a release date for the game has been announced, prices have been set, and minimum and recommended system requirements have been drawn up.
