In general, the Fable series of action RPGs from developer Lionhead Studios and Microsoft have gone from strength to strength, each introducing key new elements that improve the new iteration over and above the previous one.
Fable III, while still wholly enjoyable and excellent overall, left a few critics cold and some gamers had more than a few complaints about how the developer handled the rush towards the end-game, while bugs shipping with the completed product (but then patched) mired the experience, too.
Have you played either of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) games from THQ, UFC 2009: Undisputed, or UFC Undisputed 2010?
Well then the publisher is looking for your help to refine and improve fighting systems in the next UFC Undisputed title!
Posting on Twitter, the official UFC Undisputed account tweeted:
A study released by research firm Nielsen earlier in the month revealed that New Super Mario Bros. Wii received the most online buzz over E3. However, despite this a new survey done by Nielson discloses that Halo 3: ODST and God of War III top the list of games presented at E3 that gamers are definitely or probably interested in buying.
According to a survey conducted by publisher, ASCII Media Works, Japanese gamers put the Xbox 360 at the top of their list when it comes to customer satisfaction.
The questionnaire asked both owners and potential buyers of consoles to rate the hardware in six different categories - value for money, variety of interesting software, quality of visuals, external design, size/weight of console, and number of acquaintances who also owned the console.
Overall, the Xbox 360 rated an impressive 78.3 out of 100, despite a drop in score in the size/weight of console and ‘number of acquaintances who also owned the console’ categories. Sony and Nintendo both scored a 70.6 out of 100 for the PS3 and Wii respectively, while Nintendo’s DS got a 72 out of 100 and the PSP got a 73.3 out of 100.
Those scores are extremely interesting, especially if you take into account the Microsoft’s traditional poor performance in Japan with their consoles, and also considering the problems the Xbox 360 console itself has gone through since launch (Red Ring of Death et al).
