Now that we know when Nintendo’s 3DS is scheduled to launch in and around the world, we can start to get properly excited for the handheld console’s upcoming slate of games, not least of which are Capcom’s announced titles including Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, and Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D.
Coincidentally, Capcom has released brand new and impressive assets for both of these games, including screenshots and trailers to get us super eager to pick them up the second they’re released!

Capcom recently unleashed a debut Japanese trailer for its upcoming 3DS fighting game, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Version (or Edition, as it now seems to be known), and this game is looking so good and smooth, it’s mental.
Not only does the trailer showcase the game’s amazing visual style, but it also reveals two neat features to be included in the title, both to do with the WiFi capabilities of the 3DS.
After getting some quality hands-on time with Nintendo’s 3DS handheld at gamescom2010, we came away highly impressed with the graphical capabilities of the machine as well as the console’s use of stereoscopic 3D to draw you into the game.
When you take that technology and combine it with a frenetic, explosive and colourful game like Super Street Fighter IV, you’ve got an experience fit for a videogame paradise!
To get an idea of what we mean, you can flick through a handful of new screenshots from Super Street Fighter IV 3DS Version (working title):
The diminutive stereoscopic 3D version of Capcom’s hit Super Street Fighter IV fighting title is looking quite close to its home console counterparts.
Although there’s obviously an enormous, yawning gap between the visual fidelity of the two versions, as well as big differences as far as exact effects and details on display are concerned, the basic elements are all there and when in motion (and seen in 3D), it’s possible that even these differences will melt away…
… but maybe I’m getting ahead of myself. You can decide for yourself by perusing the rest of the newly released screenshots for Super Street Fighter IV 3D Version (working title) for Nintendo’s 3DS, below:
Capcom seems to be working wonders with Resident Evil: Revelations on Nintendo’s new stereoscopic 3D handheld, the 3DS, and now with a collection of screenshots for the company’s Super Street Fighter IV 3D Version (tentative title), it looks as though the technological miracle work isn’t limited to monsters on a cargo ship.
Looking good! A few graphical cheats, but still looking sharp! See the rest of the screenshots from this upcoming diminutive version of Super Street Fighter IV below:
