This week’s U.S. Playstation Store update is a bit more exciting than the previous ones have been. Besides the usual presence of price tweaks, game videos, themes and add-on content, there are a few choice morsels worth mentioning.
To begin with you’ll probably want to check out the two demos on offer. Both of them are for hotly anticipated titles, namely Madden NFL 12 and Driver: San Francisco. They’ll chew up around 1.5 GB of your bandwidth per download, but you should be able to glean countless hours of entertainment from these two action-packed tasters.
It’s been announced via the US PlayStation Blog that they will be hosting a live chat with Watchmen: The End is Nigh associate producer, Jerry Pritchard, to answer all of your fan-flavoured questions.
The chat is taking place from 11am to 12am PST, so be sure to get all of your questions ready and participate. When the time is right, head on over to the US PlayStation Blog here.
In the meantime, you can watch an interview with Pritchard to find out more about the PSN downloadable game - releasing tomorrow - Watchmen: The End is Nigh:
Watchmen: The End is Nigh is a set of two downloadable games for both Xbox 360 and PS3, that take place ten years before the events of the upcoming movie, where crime and terror rule the city.
The End is Nigh will allow you to play as either Rorschach or Night Owl, as they take on the task of cleaning up the streets… with their fists! While beating down fools, you’ll also be uncovering dangerous conspiracies and secrets from the past. Sounds intriguing!
Watchmen: The End is Nigh Part 1 will be available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace on March 4th, with an appearance planned on the PlayStation Store the next day.
Check out the new Watchmen: The End is Nigh website to geek out a little before the release of the game. You can also have a look at the excellent arcade game based on the Watchmen over here.
