If you’ve been considering buy a TV capable of stereoscopic 3D for some more immersive gaming, but you haven’t found enough good reasons to make the leap, the PlayStation Blog has tried to help you out with your purchasing decision!
Sid Shuman has posted up an impressive list of PlayStation 3 games, both available now and releasing in the next few months, that support (or will support) stereo 3D, meaning if you do decided to invest in a 3D TV, you’ll at least have something to play on it.
Here’s the list:
After the reveal of Nintendo’s 3DS at E3 this year, the company’s Reggie Fils-Aime mentioned that, although there are currently no health risks associated with using the device, Nintendo is recommending that “very young children not look at 3D images”:
“That’s because, [in] young children, the muscles for the eyes are not fully formed,” Fils-Aime continued. “This is the same messaging that the industry is putting out with 3D movies, so it is a standard protocol. We have the same type of messaging for the [1995 portable console] Virtual Boy, as an example.”
Now Sony has issued a similar warning in the PlayStation’s updated Terms of Service agreement, recommending that “young children (especially those under six years old)” not watch 3D video images or play stereoscopic 3D games before parents consult a doctor.
