Recently we discovered that Ms. Splosion Man would be coming to the Xbox LIVE Arcade on the 13th of July (that’s next week Wednesday!). Now indie-developer Twisted Pixel has stamped a price on their upcoming action platform game.
Twisted Pixel has today announced an official release date for the indie developer’s upcoming Xbox LIVE Arcade action platform game, Ms. Splosion Man, the follow-up to 2009’s classic Splosion Man.
If you haven’t yet tried out great Xbox LIVE Arcade titles such as Trials HD, LIMBO and Splosion Man, then this Triple Pack is definitely the deal for you.
When Twisted Pixel’s follow-up to the fan-favourite Splosion Man was announced late last year in the form of Ms. Splosion Man (basically Splosion Man with a bow… basically), ‘surprise,’ ‘bemusement’ and ‘delight’ ensued.
If you were bemused, and you think that you know the world of monsieur Splosion Man (and by extension, the mademoiselle variant), you’ll need to watch this extensive developer walkthrough video showcasing gameplay from the new title in order to discover all of the brand new features, locations and characters.
The video runs for over ten minutes, so square away some time, sit back, relax and watch Ms. Splosion Man run, explode, skate, destroy, backchat and slide her way through a wonderful new 2D platforming world created by the folks over at Twisted Pixel:
Twisted Pixel (Comic Jumper, Splosion Man), has just gone and announced the studio’s next title in the form of ‘The Gunstringer’ for Xbox 360 Kinect, an action game with elements of an arcade light-gun shooter.
In the game, you play as the titular ‘The Gunstringer,’ a skeleton cowboy character that you’re able to manipulate and control with your hands, like a puppeteer, using the Kinect for motion recognition.
[Update] This just keeps getting better! A debut trailer for Twisted Pixel’s latest game has been released! Check it out below! [End of Update]

Twisted Pixel released the following excellent press release, reproduced here in full due to the aforementioned excellence:
Indie game developer Twisted Pixel has rapidly become one of the ‘go to’ studios for original, creative and humorous titles, starting with the excellent action adventure game, The Maw, in early 2009, continuing on with the awesomeness of ‘Splosion Man later that year, and capping it all off with the 2010 release of the brilliant Comic Jumper.
Now, Twisted Pixel is teasing the announcement of the company’s fourth mystery game with a countdown clock on its website, with the reveal set to happen on December 2nd.
But… maybe it’s not the studio’s fourth game. Maybe it’s something else?
Are you having a bit of a bad day? A bad week, even? Do you need a good, solid pick-me-up game to help slap a smile on your face?
Well my friend, look no further than the latest addition to Xbox LIVE Arcade’s line-up of games, Comic Jumper!
Already being called ‘hilarious’ by basically everyone residing on the Internet, Comic Jumper is what one would term a ‘mega-action, super-platform game,’ as this title simply wouldn’t be content with normal videogame standards and conventions.
If you’ve seen any gameplay footage, you’ll certainly understand!
The time has come! Twisted Pixel and Microsoft Game Studios have today jointly announced an official release date for the developer’s awesome upcoming game, Comic Jumper!
In addition, Twisted Pixel has revealed the fourth comic style to be included in Comic Jumper, and it’s none other than the unmistakable Japanese art technique of Manga!
You may not know his name, but you certainly know his game – game developer Dan Teasdale has been working at Harmonix for a number of years, contributing to the development of a few iterations of Rock Band in a variety of roles, including senior and lead designer.
Now that development of the currently in-the-works Rock Band 3 is coming to a close, Teasdale has decided it’s time to try something a little different, and get back to a development role that allows him both the freedom to “help drive the vision and direction of a game,” and be more hands-on with a game, and “physically implement and iterate on the low level of making games in a more substantial way than time affords me when working as a lead on multi-hundred person titles.”
According to Xbox mouthpiece Major Nelson (he’s been really prolific with his posts today!), over one million Xbox LIVE users voted on your favourite Xbox LIVE Arcade games of 2009, from games like Trials HD and Splosion Man, to Battlefield 1943 and Shadow Complex, in categories such as ‘Best Original Game,’ ‘Best Graphics’ and ‘Best Innovation.’

Twisted Pixel has finally opened the doors to its new store, allowing fans to take home their very own Maw and Splosion Man.
After having a totally Mawsome time with The Maw, you will no doubt want to give a home to this 9 inch model of the purple monster with the large tongue who enjoys eating Yums. You can even buy one signed by The Maw development team!

Developers Twisted Pixel have announced that a title update for Splosion Man has been released to prevent cheaters from posting “impossibly good scores.”

In addition to permanently sealing the exploit, the title update will wipe select scores from the leaderboards, so that only legitimate scores remain.
