The Spider-Man series of action games has been particularly good in recent memory and developer Beenox has once again stepped up its game (literally and figuratively) to deliver a new interactive adventure following the exploits of everybody’s favourite and friendly neighbourhood superhero… and friend.
In Spider-Man: Edge of Time, players will take on the role of both the classic Amazing Spider-Man and his futuristic doppelgänger, Spider-Man 2099, each of whom sport their own unique abilities and are useful in very different situations.
Megarom and El33tonline are giving away four copies of Spider-Man: Edge of Time (two on each console) to give you all a chance of slipping into the web-slinging boots of Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099!

The first thing Activision’s Kevin Umbricht asked me as I walked into the demo room and tried to sit down to see Spider-Man: Edge of Time was: “So, what do you know about the game?”
I gave the question a customary two seconds of thought and replied: “It has Spider-Man in it.”
I don’t think Mr. Umbricht was too pleased with my reply, but courteously conceded: “Well, that’s a good start.”

Activision has just announced a release date for Spider-Man: Edge of Time. This news comes shortly after the publisher revealed that Prototype 2 would be available in April next year.
Activision and 2K Games are enormously influential game company, no two ways about it. One is arguably the biggest publisher in the world, while the other has been taking massive strides in the last few years to claim its position as one of the coveted Top Five.
At E3 2011, these publishers showed just why they’re considered amongst the best, exhibiting their might with blockbuster titles such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and effortlessly intriguing and far-reaching games like Bioshock Infinite and XCOM:
Just what does happen when you die? Where do you ‘go’? A heady question, and if anyone is able to provide a satisfactory answer, it’s Spider-Man. That dude can do anything!

Spider-Man: Edge of Time was announced last week as the next major entry to the Spider-Man series of action games with first details on the game’s time-bending “cause-and-effect gameplay” revealed, and today we can get our first look at the game with a debut cinematic trailer.
