Snoopy Flying Ace was the best selling Xbox LIVE Arcade game during its first week on sale, followed by Prince of Persia Classic (which was a Deal of the Week last week) and DOOM II. Avatar Paintball is the best selling Xbox Indie Games this past week, with The Impossible Game and Avatar Racedrome trailing behind.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II is the most played game on Games For Windows LIVE this week, followed by activity for Grand Theft Auto IV and Colin McRae: Dirt 2.

For the measly sum of 800 MS Points today on the Xbox 360’s Xbox LIVE Marketplace, you’ll be able to pick up a game by the name of Snoopy Flying Ace, starring that interminable beagle from the Peanuts series of cartoons (Charlie Brown et al).

You’ll be taking Snoopy, “the rest of the Peanuts gang,” and your Avatar up into the skies to do battle in a variety of World War I era fighter planes, as well as take part in a variety of other challenges.
