An announcement on the US PlayStation Blog has revealed that a new patch for SingStar has been released which adds a bunch of new features to the PS3 SingStar experience.
The first addition is the ability to control which the tracks you’d like to perform with the amazing power of your voice. Yep, SingStar fans will now be able to “scroll through the song carousel and select the tracks they’d like to sing by simply speaking into the microphone.”
No more fumbling with a controller and a microphone!
SingStar is a tried and tested formula that Sony knows works, not only works you understand but works really well. While the first SingStar game was released way back in 2004, this will be the sixth installment for the PS3, following closely on the heels of SingStar Queen. With each new installment comes a new audience, and perhaps the saying ‘variety is the spice of life’ best describes SingStar because each edition features an entirely new tracklist of songs for gamers to belt out and it is this that keeps the franchise selling like hotcakes.
