Nintendo has released an extensive release schedule for its line-up of games planned to launch in Europe during the next few months, from now until June.
Some release dates we know about, like Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Skies, while the announcement that Jam With the Band for the DS has been delayed internationally (despite a previously announced release date) puts that game’s launch under some scrutiny.
Curiously, Metroid: Other M for the Wii isn’t on the list (it’s dated for June 27th in North America), which means the title will probably only release outside of the second quarter of this year in Europe.

Update Nintendo has since announced that Jam with the Band has been postponed internationally and will now be released in South Africa later this year. End of Update
So far this year’s gaming calendar has been jam packed, and according to Core Gaming, distributors of Nintendo in South Africa, things look set to become even hotter for Wii and DS gamers!
At the recent launch of the DSi XL in South Africa last week, Core Gaming revealed a few of the titles that we can expect to see hitting shelves across South Africa in the very near future. And rest assured there are some pretty big names among the line-up including the highly anticipated Super Mario Galaxy 2, Monster Hunter Tri and Metroid: Other M as well as a few surprises in the form of Sin & Punishment 2 and Jam with the Band.
After North America had its turn to receive a slew of release dates for a bunch of highly anticipated Nintendo games, now it’s Europe’s turn to find out when those selfsame games will find their ways into stores across the region.
Without further ado, let’s get right to it:
More news emerging from Nintendo’s media summit in San Francisco today has revealed the expected North American release dates for two anticipated titles exclusive to Nintendo consoles, namely Sin & Punishment 2 for the Wii and Picross 3D for the DS.
A sequel to the Nintendo 64 classic shooter Sin & Punishment was finally officially announced at Nintendo’s E3 press conference yesterday, and with the announcement comes colourful, action-packed screenshots and in-game footage.
Enabling players to run on foot or fly in the air with a jetpack (or hovering skateboard, as you please), Sin & Punishment 2 casts players as playable characters Isa and Kachi on the run in a post-apocalyptic world in a game with “a frantic arcade sensibility.”
The game naturally uses the WiiMote to aim and shoot, while the Nunchuk is used for positioning and manoeuvring your character, while trying to increase your score through the use of a score multiplier… seems suitably retro and ‘arcadey,’ which is awesome!
