The most obvious advantage to written reviews is the fact that I don’t have to pronounce Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes. I keep referring to it as ‘that Samurai game.’ It’s a whole lot easier to read it than to say it, and when you look at the game’s cover you will hardly make out the word Samurai at all.
But who cares about a game’s name? Call of Duty would have been awesome if it was called ‘that WW2 shooter game,’ and Metal Gear Solid would be cool if it was called ‘that game with a small glimpse at a big robot at the end.’
SBSH (much better to say) is an action game that sees you take on the role of an outlandishly stylish character during medieval Japan. It’s time to unite and conquer the various areas of the region, and this can only be done by slaying thousands and thousands of carbon copy enemies. The characters you can choose from vary greatly, from high flying pistol-wielding ladies, to prisoners with a huge steel ball and chain as a weapon. Clearly the developers didn’t go for historical accuracy.

Capcom has revealed the line-up of games it plans on showing at E3 2010, which starts in earnest next week, from June 15th to 17th (although Microsoft will start proceedings early thanks to its Project Natal reveal).
While ‘only’ eight Capcom games will officially be at the show, the publisher promises “a couple surprises up our sleeves.”
Intriguing, but we’ll have to wait until the middle of next week to see what the company is hinting at. Check out the full list of Capcom games set to appear at E3 2010, below

Other than formally announcing Marvel VS Capcom 3 and Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 at the publisher’s Captivate 2010 showcase event in Hawaii, Capcom recently revealed its enormous roster of games that are set to release from now until sometime in 2011, which includes Okamiden, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, Sengoku BASARA: Samurai Heroes, and downloadable content for Super Street Fighter IV, Lost Planet 2 and MotoGP 09/10.
