While new and future PSPgo owners in PAL territories have a reason to get excited about the system thanks to the announcement of a great new promotion, PSP and PSPgo owners (new and potential) in the US also have something to shout about, with the reveal of a host of different price reductions on PSP games, special offers and newly inducted ‘Greatest Hits’ titles.
Frank Simon, a senior producer over at Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has let everybody know that Secret Agent Clank for your good ‘ole PlayStation 2 is now on store shelves in the US.
Secret Agent Clank for PS2 is a port from the PSP version of the game, only with higher resolution textures, more detailed geometry and more going on on-screen, as well as new character art and animations, resulting in what Simon calls “a more beautiful, richer game experience.”
The PS2 version of Secret Agent Clank also comes standard with a new camera system and customised controls for your DualShock 2 controller, which no doubt addresses one of the main concerns with the PSP version of the game.
The game should be releasing around the rest of the world soon. Check out some more screenshots from Secret Agent Clank on the PS2 below:
President of Sanzaru Games in San Mateo California, Glen Egan has posted on the US PlayStation Blog about their upcoming port of the PSP game, Secret Agent Clank, to the PS2.
The game releases on the PS2 on May 26th this year, and will take advantage of the additional power of that console over its diminutive cousin, the PSP, ensuring that Secret Agent Clank’s port to the PS2 will be a move for the better.
Sanzaru will also be using the obvious abilities of the dual analogue sticks, instead of the PSP’s single stick, to make lock-strafing possible for the PS2 version, which was sorely lacking in the PSP version.
Head on over to the blog post to read more about Sanzaru, and how they started up, over here. You can also check out some more screenshots for Secret Agent Clank on the PS2 below:
