In July last year the Move.me app appeared on the US PlayStation Store. Move.me is essentially a software tool for PCs which allows researchers and hobbyists to use the PlayStation Move controller for a variety of applications that extend far beyond traditional gaming.

The good news is that the tool has finally made its way across the Atlantic to UK and Europe, receiving an official launch in those territories courtesy of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE).

After soaking in the vastly differing experiences of Microsoft’s chilled and enjoyable Play Day in the morning and EA’s skull-cracking press conference in the afternoon, it was up to Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) to finish off the day with its media briefing in the evening of August 16th to truly get us ready for gamescom.

While it wasn’t quite the spectacle that EA brought to Cologne, Germany, and it certainly wasn’t as laid back as Microsoft’s event, SCEE managed to find a great median with some surprise announcements, welcome reveals and a super slick presentation.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has announced that certain NTSC PSone Classics from both the North American and Japanese PlayStation Stores will be made available in PAL territories in the near future.

This is great news for fans of North American exclusives like Chrono Cross, Parasite Eve and Threads of Fate, as well as those gamers who are keen to try out Japanese PlayStation 1 hits which don’t require an understanding of the language.

North American PlayStation Home users received their ‘Welcome Back’ package early last month, but those of us in European territories have had to practise patience while Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) went about arranging complimentary content through its various partners.

Correct. Starting tomorrow, European PlayStation Store browsers will be able to snag a demo for SEGA’s upcoming Sonic T. Hedgehog game, Sonic Generations… but only starting tomorrow, you hear?

PlayStation Network Logo To apologise for service downtime and to say ‘thank-you’ for your patience leading up to service resumption, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has detailed a list of free PlayStation 3 and PSP games that European members of the PlayStation Network will be entitled to once the PlayStation Store resumes operation in “just a while longer.”

This is in addition to 30 free days of PlayStation Plus time for non-subscribers, and an additional 60 free days of access to the service if you are currently subscribed.

Here’s the list of PS3 and PSP games that SCEE is giving away – once the PS Store is back up, you’ll ‘only’ be able to choose two titles from each list to download for free:
