While many people will be doing some emergency Christmas shopping this weekend, PC gamers should rather head over to EA’s digital distribution platform Origin and pick up Battlefield 3 for half-price.
Sega has been bitten by the holiday spirit bug and is offering some very nice discounts on select PlayStation Network, iOS and Xbox LIVE Arcade games for the holiday period.
Online retailer Kalahari is currently offering up to 50% off some of 2011’s biggest releases. An impressive 265 games are featured as part of the promotion and fall across a wide range of formats including PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii and 3DS.
The PC version of L.A. Noire was released just two weeks ago but you can already pick it up for the bargain price of $24.99 as part of Steam’s ‘daily deal’.
The offer expires in around six hours so you’ll need to be quick about it. You can view the special deal over here.
I think it’s fair to say that console games are not cheap, particularly their premium variants. However, Kalahari’s latest ‘deal of the week’ consists of up to 50% off the special editions for 37 games including the likes of Resistance 3 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
Just a quick reminder that THQ is holding a big Steam sale this week – you’ll be able to try some of the publisher’s PC games at very reasonable prices.

Microsoft is currently offering excellent discounts on eighteen Xbox Live Arcade titles including Trials HD, Outland and Shank. Most of the games are discounted by 50%, although there are one or two exceptions. These special offers are valid until next Monday, October 3rd.
I’ve flipped through the North American, European and South African marketplaces, and can confirm that the specials apply to all these regions. However, some of the featured XBLA titles such as Outland are not yet available from the South African marketplace, so expect a smaller selection of discounted games to choose from if you’re using a SA account.
Those good folks over at Hello Games have decided to put Joe Danger on sale for a limited time. So if you haven’t yet played this excellent looking and stylised bike-racing game, now’s the perfect chance because it’s available for half price (just $7.49) on the US PlayStation Store until the 30th of November.
The developer has also released some awesome new characters for the game, each with their “own unique style, new motorbike, crazy new moves and special collectibles.” These new characters will be available in all regions, in the US today and the rest of the world tomorrow.
Time to make sure that ol’ PlayStation Wallet is overflowing with credit because Harmonix and MTV Games are serving up limited time deals on PS3 Rock Band songs.
This sale on Rock Band downloadable content is to celebrate the October release of Rock Band 3 and it’s on right now. But hurry because you only have until the 4th of October to get up to 50% off select singles, song packs and albums from the Rock Band Music Store for the PS3.
TikGames and Creat Studios have kicked off their ‘End of Summer Sale Spectacular’ in the North American PlayStation Store, which will feature 40% off the standard retail price of their nine PlayStation Network games.
You’ll be able to get best-selling PSN games including Smash Cars, Magic Orbz, Wakeboarding HD and Hamsterball on sale from today until the 14th of September. In addition you’ll be able to get your hands on all their downloadable content packs for only 99¢.
Sega will be sharing the love this Valentine’s Day by offering discounts on select Sega titles on the PlayStation Network.
Although the full list of games that will be available at a discounted rate are not yet available, the publisher has revealed that Crazy Taxi, Full Auto 2, Sonic Unleashed DLC, Valkyria Chronicles DLC and Sonic Rivals 1 and 2 will all be on sale.
Here’s a no-brainer for you: What do you do with $2 burning a hole in your pocket?
OK, well in the wake of the crisis in Haiti, it’s not such a no-brainer, but the thing is, The Excellent Game Psychonauts is now on sale through the Steam digital distribution service for a paltry, measly, insignificant $2!
With hours upon hours of double-fine Double Fine entertainment, characters and dialogue written by Tim Schafer (Brutal Legend, Grim Fandango) and Erik Wolpaw (who went on to work at Valve and write for Portal and Team Fortress 2) and wonderful, creative environments and settings, Psychonauts is one game you shouldn’t miss. Seriously.
