This week you can look forward to space shooter Aces of the Galaxy and action puzzler Roogoo, which are landing on Xbox Live Arcade tomorrow. Both titles will cost 800 Microsoft Points each.
Blast off!
Described as an “old-fashioned arcade adrenaline-pumping shoot-em-up,” Aces of the Galaxy sees playing saving the Universe from the evil Skurgian Empire. Take out enemy ships with an arsenal of upgradeable weapons including missile launchers, torpedoes and chain guns as you battle Skurgians, either alone or with a friend at home or via Xbox Live. The game features a temporal shift which players can use to slow down enemies.
Defeat the Meemoo
Help the Roogoo defeat the evil Meemoo in Roogoo, an action puzzle game that sees players lining up multiple platforms on different levels to allow shaped blocks to pass through rotating disks to bring them to the ground. Stack up enough and that shape will be closed off. Look out for Meemoos who will obstruct your path and butterflies which will try and steal your blocks.
The game features 45 levels which players can attempt either alone or with up to four players in co-operative party mode play. You can also try out the two player split screen multiplayer mode over Xbox Live where players battle to solve the same puzzle and attempt to defeat their competitors by building up their Attack meter to place Meemoos on their opponent’s disks.
