Capcom recently announced (by way of the Capcom Unity Blog) that their next on-rails, lightgun-style Resident Evil-themed shooter, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, will be releasing in North America on November 17th for $49.99, exclusively for the Wii.
It was also revealed (by way of the blog post) that you’ll be able to get a limited edition ‘Let Your Darkside Out’ T-shirt, “which transforms you into a zombie when lifted over your head,” by either pre-ordering Darkside Chronicles, winning a shirt or simply buying it. Find out how over here.
You can see what the shirt looks like (and how it ‘transforms’ wearers in ‘zombies’) below:
Capcom has revealed the official box art for Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, its upcoming horror survival game for the Wii.
The cover art features Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield in their classic Resident Evil 2 outfits, pursued by a horde of zombies of course. If you look a little closer you will also notice Steve Burnside from CODE Veronica in the background as well as a mystery figure whose identity will be unveiled later.
Capcom have released a new batch of screenshots, and a trailer, for their on-rails first-person Resident Evil action shooter, The Darkside Chronicles, releasing on the Wii at the end of the year.
It’s looking pretty darn detailed, as Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield move through the environments first introduced in Resident Evil 2, such as the classic police station in Raccoon City.
The game also adds a two-player option, or the option of engaging the help of an A.I. controlled second player, while a new ‘evade’ system, which probably uses extreme amounts of WiiMote waggle to escape from attacking creatures, also features in the The Darkside Chronicles.

Capcom unveiled the debut trailer for Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles at the Resident Evil 5 launch party in San Francisco this past Friday.
Currently in development exclusively for the Wii, The Darkside Chronicles is a sequel to The Umbrella Chronicles and is expected to arrive across North America this winter. The story is based on Resident Evil 2 and includes Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield.
The Darkside Chronicles will feature an on-rails style game play and active camera that promises to create a more immersive survival experience. This first person game will include “extreme shooting gameplay and interactive pathways” like its predecessor.
