The PS3 and PlayStation Store are doing their darnedest to compete with the release of Gears of War 3 yesterday, and will today try to turn your attention to a collection of brand new downloadable attractions.
This week’s US PS Store update contains a few gems for both PS3 and PSP owners, particularly if you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber.
2011 is the fifteenth anniversary for the Resident Evil series, which first appeared on PS1 back in 1996. Capcom is showing its love for the PlayStation platform by offering PS Plus members a veritable treasure trove of content. They’re giving away the first three Resident Evil games for free (playable on PSP or PS3) and making the HD remastered version of RE4 available for just $10 (normal price is $19.99). There’re also five free snazzy RE4 avatars to associate with your PSN account.
It’s a regular old Resident Evil round-up here on El33tonline as new information and media has recently surfaced regarding two of Capcom’s planned high definition Resident Evil remakes, Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica X.
One game still looks terrific, the other does not. Let’s begin:
