Yes, that’s right – Netflix’s magical online video streaming service is officially coming to the Wii, amidst the continual rumours and hinting that we’ve had to endure for the last few months.

Starting this ‘Spring’ (March to May), those of you with a Wii, living in the US, subscribing to Netflix (with a $9-a-month minimum subscription) and a connection to Mother Internet, will be able to stream movies and TV shows of your choice straight through the pipes, as nature intended and at your leisure.

In statements that seem to back up the words of Nintendo of America’s Reggie Fils-Aime, market analyst Jesse Divnich from the research firm Electronic Entertainment Design and Research (EEDAR) has said how the firm believes that New Super Mario Bros. Wii will ultimately outsell the recently released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - a game that is widely believed to be the most anticipated game of the year.

“EEDAR feels comfortable to make the prediction that the New Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo Wii will be one of the top titles this holiday season,” wrote Divnich in a preview report of NPD’s US videogame sales.

In the latest episode of GameTrailers TV, president of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aime, has made an extremely bold statement regarding the sales figures of his company’s upcoming New Super Mario Bros. Wii in comparison to those of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

According to Fils-Aime, New Super Mario Bros. Wii will have outsold Modern Warfare 2 on a single platform (using the Xbox 360 as an example) by the time the January NPD data is released. Speaking to the show’s host, Geoff Keighley, about the possibility of this happening, Fils-Aime said:
