By now we know what to expect from a Professor Layton game: a whole bunch of interesting, varied puzzles wrapped up in an interesting story with high production values. The plot of this third game in the series gets a little more personal than before as it seems Layton and his apprentice, Luke, must travel forward 10 years in time to stop Future Layton from destroying London. It’s up to you to solve the puzzles along the way that will ultimately save the world (or just London, but that’s a big enough place to be saving).

Debut title and massive RPG Fallout: New Vegas managed to become the top-selling game in the UK this past week, claiming No. 1 on Chart Track’s UK Software Sales listing after only two days on sale.

Fallout: New Vegas was able to effortlessly outclass the launch week performance of Bethesda Softworks’ previous Fallout title, Fallout 3 in 2008, as New Vegas racked up 29% more unit sales across its three platforms (PS3, Xbox 360 and PC).

Did you think that Nintendo’s DSi XL ‘technicolour makeover’ was only going to be offered to gamers overseas? Well think again, because Nintendo of South Africa recently announced that the handheld console will be available in the country in three brand new colours starting tomorrow, October 8th!
