The recently announced PlayStation Network Video Delivery Service for Europe is now live, allowing PS3 and PSP users in the UK, France, Germany and Spain to buy (and rent) and download both recent and classic movies, from a selection of over 800 titles, while a reported 50 films will also be added to the service every week.
Renting a movie, (either in high definition or standard definition) from the PlayStation Network Video Delivery Service will cost from €1.99/£2.49 up, while buying a film will cost from €7.99/£6.99 up.
In order to encourage PS3 and PSP users to try the service, a special promotion is on offer where you can get two movies for the price of one, only the movies are pre-determined. You can buy the movie, Angels & Demons, and receive a voucher for The Da Vinci Code. Not too bad of a deal.
New PlayStation owners are also being treated to an offer that requires you to register your new console between today (November 19th) and November 30th, and you’ll receive a voucher for the Transformers movie.
