PlayStation Network LogoDespite the recent launch of PlayStation Plus, there’s still a sizable amount of new content on the way to the European PlayStation Store a little later today, with a bunch of special price offers (PixelJunk Monsters! Sonic games!), demos (LEGO Harry Potter! Aqua Panic HD!) and downloadable content packages (Tiger Woods! DJ Hero! Super Street Fighter IV!).

The usual assortment of interesting themes, wallpapers, videos, downloadable games, extra DLC and Rock Band and Guitar Hero tracks will also make an appearance in a few hours on the European PlayStation Store, so head on down below to see the full list:

Like its counterpart in the US, the European PlayStation Store update this week will be chock full of great digital delights, including special price offers on a great set of games (including PixelJunk Monsters) and a ton of Sonic games (to celebrate the blue guy’s 19th birthday).

Q-Games are the developer behind the popular PixelJunk series of downloadable games for the PS3. The series kicked off with PixelJunk Racers soon moved on to PixelJunk Monsters and finished off with PixelJunk Eden, with PixelJunk Shooter currently in development.

However, it seems as if Q-Games might just consider working on a sequel to PixelJunk Monsters. That’s according to Dylan Cuthbert, President and Executive Producer of Q-Games, who responded to a query about the possibility of PixelJunk Monsters 2 as follows:

The word on the street is that Q-games are creating an expansion for popular PlayStation Network title PixelJunk Monsters. PixelJunk Monsters began scaring PS3s in late January this year.

A Q-Games employee responded as follows to a Kotaku reader’s query about a sequel or expansion, “We are really enjoying the feedback from people about Monsters, it seems to have really hit a sweet spot. There should be some news about an expansion pack over the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled.”
