Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ) announced today that the first PlayStation 3 games to support stereoscopic 3D will be arriving on the PlayStation Network during June, while an initiative involving the company’s line of 3D Bravia TVs will net you these games for free, plus a demo for the 3D version of MotorStorm 2: Pacific Rift.
Sony of America and AXE deodorant have teamed up to bring the first ever AXE-branded virtual video game character, Smooth Jarvis, to PAIN.
Smooth Jarvis comes enabled with “two Double Pits to Chesty (DPTC) themed moves that mimic the signature motions involved in applying AXE deodorant bodyspray for men.” If you haven’t see the moves before (under both arm pits and across the chest) check the action out in the video below:
In a very special message on the US PlayStation Blog, David Hasselhoff himself makes an appearance to tell everybody about his debut in PAIN, the game in which you get to fling unsuspecting avatars at all manner of obstacles at literally breakneck speeds. Why David Hasselhoff? Well, because of the new PAIN setting, the movie studio, he reckons:
“What am I doing in PAIN you ask? It’s the Movie Studio! What’s a movie studio without The Hoff? You can now put The Hoff into a launcher and fling me into harm’s way – exploding crates, cars, people – everything is fair game. And best of all, you’ll never even put a scratch on this mug of mine!”
Hasselhoff even makes a mention of it on his personal blog and reveals the first trailer, which is included below for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!
