Speaking to consumer site VG247 at the Game::Business::Law Summit recently, Insomniac CEO Ted Price has confirmed that the developer will no longer work on the Resistance game franchise and will instead leave it up to other developers to continue the series.
EA has confirmed that the publisher will indeed be holding a press event during this year’s gamescom event in Cologne, Germany, with a date and details included.
EA had a busy E3 week, amazing us with new footage, revealing new games and even stamping release dates on a few upcoming titles.
There was no doubt that Battlefield 3, EA and DICE’s upcoming blockbuster military shooter, dominated the line-up. While we were amazed by excellent screenshots and gameplay videos for the game, we were even more excited to hear that Battlefield 3 would be released on the 25th of October in North America and the 28th of October in European territories. Not to mention the news that a beta would be available in September.
EA and Insomniac Games (Resistance, Ratchet & Clank) have today announced the results of the pair’s announced partnership in the form of Overstrike, a four-player cooperative action game for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
