We’re right about nearing the heart of Summer here in South Africa, and you would think that it would be a good idea to gallop outdoors and engage in some sun-drenched activities and sports, with time for some fun in the pool, too.
If you’re the winner of this fantastic Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games hamper, however, you might just be tempted to get all of your sporting needs indoors instead, while shielding yourself from scary Mr. Sun with the keen backpack and notepad.
Who is the winner of the hamper? Good question!
The Batman is one of the greatest fictional characters ever created - this fact isn’t debatable. Batman: Arkham City is one of the greatest action adventure games ever created - this fact, too, isn’t up for discussion.

Part One saw us peeking behind the scenes of rAge 2011. We saw a few teaser pics of the EA, Ster Kinekor and Nintendo stands. This time around we’re taking a look at what Megarom, Microsoft and Nu Metro have in store for you.
Remember that rAge kicks off tomorrow at 10am at the Coca Cola Dome. The El33tonline team will be at Stand 28 so come and say hi and maybe walk away with some free stuff!
Today, something quite disturbing arrived at my door. Something creepy… and even a little scary. At first, I couldn’t look past the dashes of bloody fingerprints and streaks of crimson gore smeared on it, but after a cursory glance my interest was well and truly piqued.
I couldn’t stop examining it and flicking through its contents, trying to put together the clues – if they even were clues – to get to the bottom of its mystery.
Today, I received a family photo album, and it’s horrific. And entirely awesome.
Even though South African distributor Nu Metro’s line up of games showing at rAge 2010 was relatively low in content, it was huge on quality with heavy hitters like Dead Rising 2, Marvel VS Capcom 3 and Vanquish making an appearance at the show at the Coca Cola Dome in Johannesburg.
But the crown jewel of Nu Metro’s current crop of games is no doubt F1 2010, the just-released Formula One racing game for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Crowds continue to gather around the stand set up for the game, itching to get a turn on one of the driving seat/wheel combinations to try it out.
Vanquish, too, has proven to be a massive hit with gamers – once you start playing, you just can’t stop!
Check out a small selection of images El33tonline grabbed from the show floor of rAge 2010 (on day one of the event, mind) to get an idea of what Nu Metro’s presence is like:
Nu Metro Interactive has announced that it has entered into an agreement to distribute Codemasters games in South Africa.
The agreement will see Nu Metro bringing Codemasters range of Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, NDS and PC games on to South African shelves, including Rise of the Argonauts, Damnation, Bella Sara, JumpGate, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, Fuel and Overlord II.
“We are immensely proud and very happy to have gained the distribution rights for a premier partner such as Codemasters for South Africa,” says Keith Viljoen, Executive Head of Nu Metro Interactive.
“The quality and range of premium games offered by them can only enhance and add to the growing gaming industry in South Africa. This premier partnership with Codemasters will be a key driver in ensuring an acceleration of market share for Nu Metro Interactive within the South African retail and rental category.”
