Mario Super Sluggers will be charging on to North American Wiis on the 25th of August.

Mario’s latest adventure builds on the movements learned in Wii Sports, with players making a throwing motion with the Wii Remote to pitch the baseball and making a swinging motion to swing the bat.

Players will be able to step into the shoes of over 30 playable Nintendo characters including Mario, Luigi and the usual gang, as well as play as their own Mii.

The game features nine unique stadiums ranging from an ice-filled castle to an urban cityscape. Some of the stadiums can be assessed during the day and night meaning you can strut your stuff under the big lights.

Up to four players can enjoy the game on one Wii as well as try their hand at several mini-games including a home run contest.
